This was taken in Wales by Louize on a very steep slope looking up towards that ruined arch and with the sun behind it gives a very dramatic feel, and the perspectives help with that, I had to do a lot of work in PS to get the high contrasting light right!
Took this almost three years ago while crossing Wyoming. Not that different from the current weather. Shut down tonight near Evanston Wyoming. Should be in California by tomorrow night.

On the way to Mount Rainier with my wife, and only three minutes from the house we had to pull over. One of the most amazing sunrise I've seen in my life. I posted a color version a while back, so here's a bw edit.
Exposure, is there a right one? I often utilize my histograms and the theory of ETTR. (Expose To The Right) However, that does not always render the most ideal image, even when manipulated in post. This shot was slightly underexposed and shot in RAW. The result better reveals the suns rays than the one with the right histogram. Perhaps it is best to keep on learning,

Is amazing when you are able to capture more than one element together on the same image. Just lucky on this one.

I keep this antique bird cage on the speaker by the living room window. Last week the sunshine poured in through the window creating cool shadows, both from the blinds and the cage. So I quickly went and got my little Christmas teddy and put him in the cage to get him in the festive spirit - he loved the sun rays!
I've had a lot of problems commenting, so if you haven't heard from me, it's not because I haven't tried...

Forest Point Bay , Trinidad & Tobago.
I must say this shot was a real challenge trying to get the exposure right , the light was quite intense , but again the Mark III really impressed me .

Find beauty not only in the thing itself but in the pattern of the shadows, the light and dark which that thing provides -

I was hoping to spot the wild horses along the Salt River the other day. No luck but campers settling in for the weekend provided an opportunity to catch the lightrays in their smoke.
