Sparklers and cold cathode, with green LED strip and light pollution for side and backlighting. Straight off the RAW file, no photoshopping other than a bit of noise reduction and white balance tweaking.
So, my parents told me a lot when i was younger "Never meet anyone off the internet because they will turn out to men in their 30's!!"........And they were right, but at least i knew that from the start (Jeez, now i hope they aren't in their 20's, that could be offensive haha!)
Met up with www.flickr.com/photos/allanengland/ and www.flickr.com/photos/fellwalker1/ for my first light painting session outside of my own house. Great night out (from about 19:00 til 23:15 i think!?), surprisingly warm but we were playing with fire and i didn't have to travel too far!
Great to meet you both, thanks to Allan for being very generous with his Magnesium and to Mike for some hints and tips!
Trying out two new tools... Very pleased with them... Just not with myself after making the elementary school boy error of leaving the aperture wide open from earlier in the day, which ended up blowing the colours out of the orbs.,, Didn't realise until I got home!!!
Austin asked me to go out and take one more shot tonight. I was almost ready for bed. Oh the sacrifices I make. lol
This is my entry in to the Lightpaintingphotography.com April 2012 contest. I made the light stencils for the woman in the center and the light bulb and the text(being sure to give credit to all those who helped me out with this project thanks to eveyone) I also made a tool for the light orb simular to the one made by TxPilot but added my twist to it by makeing a double orb and the moter and the lights are turn on and off together with a switch. to make the large A shape I used EL wire.
