Again my first attempts at light paining with some battery powered LED christmas lights I bought from Homebase. I taped them all together and then swung them from the cord. I think I may have to re-think the techniqu as I doubt the cord will take much swinging before it breaks, or at least the wire inside breaks making the LED's fail.
Inspired by the light balls I've seen here on flickr I popped down to B&Q this morning and fashioned an orbatron from some leds, rope and duct tape. this is my first attempt at a light ball. hopefully I'll be able to perfect the technique and location in future shots.
Outside one of the many gatehouses to the Earl of Yarbourgh's estate... The orb seemed quite well behaved tonight.. I hope he keeps behaving!!! SOOC
I could not resist a quick test of my new orb spinning tool. I had fun turning the dominant light from white to red, by adjusting the power settings on the torches. It's all so easy and the spinner works very well.
My dad worked at Lorch Plumbing for over 30 years. It has been closed for a few years and I thought I should get over there and take a couple of photos.
Light orb in the kitchen.
The second time i've ever tried this technique and the first time inside. I personally find it hard to do neatly and this is the best of about ten shots. I am amazed when people publish immaculate orbs that look stunning.
Take at my wife's aunties small holding. I didn't like this too much at first but changed my mind while look at them again.
A night out to try light photograpgy and orbs.
1st time we've tried this and dont think they were too bad. Got too cold, so had to pack it in as we were gettin the hang of it.
Hopefully will have some better ones up sometime in the future
The reason we are taking so many light orb shots is we are trying out different lights. So, when we find the perfect one we are going somewhere around town and find a nice location to shoot yet another light orb. lol
I borrowed felt tip felon's light stick for this one. Wish I'd noticed the orb wasn't complete on the back of the camera.
