While camped at Deception Pass my girls and I did our first experimenting with light orbs and light painting. Amateur results, but was fun and challenging and slightly creepy. These were mostly made with glowsticks giving them a somewhat fuzzy appearance.
First attempt at trying to make light orbs. Shot at the stone bridge that is just past the Multnomah Falls overlook. Got rained out shortly after taking this shot.
This Light House was built in 1862? if you light this you should see how i made the cannon look like its firing
Test shot straight out of the camera. It's nice to have a one of these torches again. I was very sad when the old one got broken.
Light painting in Tintinara.
Light orb with leds. I have to work on my circles and make them more consistant.

Still not quite got it sussed. The equator is drifting too far north, the edges are uneven and there's a bit too much of a denser cross going on. But it's getting there.
Straight out of the camera, with blue-O-vision custom white balance.
I tried to put a couple of smaller orbs in the background, but there was a bloody PIR sensor that kept setting off a floodlight. So the orb stayed solo.

I headed down for a quick 20 minute light orb practice at Mount Batten this evening. I think they're slowly getting better and have better shape, but they're still not perfect yet.

Single exposure and using my latest Orb tool.
A great day and night out with my best mate, Jack the dog. Walked 7 miles during the day then as it got dark we waited for the orbs to appear.
Outside one of the many gatehouses to the Earl of Yarbourgh's estate... The orb seemed quite well behaved tonight.. I hope he keeps behaving!!! SOOC
