The orb in the sunken garden reveals another orb within.
Not Photoshopped, just a long orb exposure.
Their doing some work to the sea defences on the beach... They seem to be on of my favourite places at the minute.
This is the last one from the best night I have spent with my camera under the beautiful clear skies and high bright full moon.
Daytime visual sighting of white orbs traversing the high altitude in and out of the clouds. Cropped to only one selection of the many orbs witnessed here. - No - NOT birds... Some were stationary and others moving in different directions... Also birds show much darker, near black...

Sneaked into the cully on my way home from work, got soaked going in as the water was higher than usual.
Wasted my last bit of wool firing it out sideways at the wall :)
I was planning on doing some wool spinnng, but left it after the dibble came shinning there torches around to see what was going on.
I have still some orb pictures left from last year. Some of them are not so bad. So here is one of these shots. Maybe some more will follow every now and then.
Don't like the name yet. Any better ideas?
Tried filling in the gaps by using cathode to fill the space twixt orb and spin, but didn't really use enough wool to make it work. Had to pull the brightness right during RAW conversion.
We have been trying out different lights lately to see what kind of light orb we can make. It has been FUN Now we need to go find a better location to shoot some.
Just messing around testing some light orb ideas. I've had some new ideas come to mind after seeing this. I'll be trying them out over the next couple of nights in preparation for the coming weekend.
This got to #141 in Explore
Taken during a photography meetup organised by LPMG ("Light orbs and light rails").
Interesting, I think. Did a little zoomburst too for extra effect. It almost looks like an alien is beaming down!!
The technique is very simple once somebody shows you how and is a lot of fun, we were shooting at the South Bank and lots of people were stopping to watch us :) We used LED fairy lights
I'd love to hear your comments, it's the first time I've done this kind of thing.
Yupp. Lorde inspired me to wear a lampshade on my head and prance around in the woods. I was writing a paper for school while listening to Lorde and I heard her say the lyric that is my title. I thought of the abandoned lampshade upstairs in my parents room and instantly got the inspiration to do something like this. I did not get too many shots because the mosquitos were horrendous and I kept thinking I heard the coyote. But I hope to eventually expand on this with various people!
Getting tighter, I think I need to adjust my 'tool'. Anybody else from the light painting community suggest what i'm doing wrong!
I gave up last night as my hands were getting numb!
That red line is from traffic in the background by the way :)
Tweaked the brightness and shadows during RAW conversion, otherwise straight off the camera card. The poi is a bit diffuse, hence the blurryness. I reckon that with a metronome, the colours could be made to synch in space, making lines of RGB.

I think this was one of the brightest places where I ever found a light orb. ;-)
As usual this picture has been taken in a single exposure. No pixels have been added or removed.
Sometimes the best places are right on your doorstep!! Taken at the local church a few hundred yards from our house. I wonder when I will tire of this Orb thing!! I think I'm addicted
I have fancied "painting " the band stand on Durham's riverbanks for a while now. So straight after work I drove down & had a little play with some gels, an orb spinner & some led torches.
The light pollution is a pain & kinda washes out the orb, it didn't help that I had accidently swithched the orb spinner led's on in my camera bag 8 hours before!!! So they were a bit flat by the time I had been to work then arrived here!! ooops ;-)

On my new favorite bridge again... Not to much time but needed to feed the addiction again before work in the morning!!
That's where they come from!
This labyrinth made of candles from Tanja Gehring and her team in the Friedrichsau Ulm looked like an airdrome made for light orbs to me. So I put some (imperfect) orbs on the runway... ;-)

My first attempt at 'doing' a light orb and light painting with a torch, then also, my first attempt at combining images in Photoshop using Layer Mask.

Just faffing about with the hand waving orbage. That little light on the ceiling is starting to annoy me, I keep hitting it with the LEDs :)
