In such a dark world it is up to us to shine the light. In order to do that we must protect the flame inside us that reminds us to love, hope, and have faith.
I have spent the last hour trying to figure out the names of the fells in the distance but failed. You you know, please let me know. I took this photo while driving from Muker to Preston via Kirkby Stephen on Monday evening (around 6.30pm) and the light was just sublime.
I felt compelled to pull up the minibus, jump out, walk a hundred yards to the highest point around me and set up my Canon 5D MK4 with the 24-70mm f4 lens. The light intensified as the clouds rolled right to left. The main fell in the middle of the frame was just being kept in check by the heavy set dark, brooding sky above it. Just a magical moment to witness and capture on camera.
I hope you all like it and as usual, please feel FREE TO SHARE if you wish. Many thanks in advance.

Without light this scene would not be interesting at all. Shot with high ISO, so i tried to achieve film look in post (grainy).

This morning, I brought my car to the garage, because someone (didn't left a note) damaged it. (€ 800 !) So I went, it's about 6 km. from my home, and walked back along the creek. With mixed feelings I walked there (and of course with my small camera) and suddenly the sun came through and brought a smile upon my face. So this light was a type of therapy for me. Someone above the clouds is watching over me; I know that for sure! View my therapy on LARGE please!

It was coming up to midnight when realised I hadn't taken a photo.
Unfortunately, it was 3 seconds past minute when I took this but I'm still counting this for Day 97!
Here's a mono version similar to our last post, taken on my way home from work the other day...
HSS!
the genus is named after the Swedish baron Alströmer who brought them back from a trip to South America in 1753. Also called the Peruvian Lily or Inca Lily, is a South American genus of about 50 species of flowering plants. Almost all of the species are restricted to one of two distinct centers of diversity, one in central Chile, the other in eastern Brazil. Species of Alstroemeria from the Atacama Desert of Chile are winter-growing plants while those of Brazil are summer-growing.
The flower, which resembles a miniature lily, is very popular for bouquets and flower arrangements in the commercial cut flower trade. They have a vase life of about two weeks.

From last sunday night.
There was incredible aurora activity from sundown to midnight after a sun eruption Friday.
It was a perfect night for aurora shooting with no winds or clouds in the sky.
The biggest problems I usually have when shooting auroras is light pollution and in this case there are some houses in the background that give this picture an orange glow.
