Goethe's final words:
"More light."
"Ever since we crawled out of that primordial slime, that's been our unifying cry, "More light." Sunlight. Torchlight. Candlelight. Neon, incandescent lights that banish the darkness from our caves to illuminate our roads, the insides of our refrigerators.
Big floods for the night games at Soldier's field. Little tiny flashlights for those books we read under the covers when we're supposed to be asleep.
Light is more than watts and footcandles. Light is metaphor.
'Thy word is a lamp unto my feet'. 'Rage, rage against the dying of the light'. 'Lead kindly light amid the encircling gloom, lead thou me on, the night is dark and I am far from home, lead thou me on'. 'Arise, shine, for thy light has come'.
Light is knowledge, light is life, light is light.”

Made up of about 100 real sugar cubes, not glued or anything. These sugar cubes are actually called light because they supposed to have 50% less calories. Inside the cube I placed a 5W light bulb. Shot with my new Olympus 12-60mm 1:2.8-4 lens.
Update (11/9/2009) - Included on digital-photography-school.com/great-reader-shots at Number #1. A great place to learn about photography.

#54/365 You might have figured I am a strobist and usually use lights for most my indoor portraits. Well I thought I'd give available light a go and try a proper natural light portrait. I think I might have to go get one of those reflector dohickies though. For the process I also wanted to do something a little different than usual, I hope you enjoy it. Natural light...not so bad :)
