This fellow was very small, about the size of a fingernail. He was very nice and compliant! Taken in my new macro light box i made.

This beetle can be seen on leaves and flowers in the "Rose Garden" of the Los Angeles County Arboretum.
Nov. the 10th and just back from hospital. They re-did my plumbing and inserted 3 stints into my heart. These are pics on walk up to Hospital just in case they were my Last One! :-)

(53/365) I was given a small cutting of this houseplant last Summer & whatever I'm doing it must suit it because it's flourishing & needs repotting. Whilst it looks like Clover it isn't because it has delicate pinkish tinged tubular flowers totally unlike Clover flowers. For 115 pictures in 2015 #18 Club - I'm seeing a club shape here (like on playing card) please tell me I'm not going mad?
Temperatures have plummeted and we woke to a crispy white world - some patches in Watts Meadow that the sun didn't reach stayed white all day.
Spent the last few days car camping and hiking along the Hoh River in the Olympic NP. The Big Leaf maples are just starting to leaf out ... still these trees are awe-inspiring in any season.
The surface of this leaf in Lyöttilä, Iitti is very water-resistant, thus forming nice drops.
