I saw this leaf on the pavement as I got out of my car when I arrived at work. But my car created a shadow over the leaf. I hesitated for a moment, and then I got back into the car and moved it to a different parking spot so I could photograph the leaf.

Once I had my camera out, I ended up shooting for 20 minutes, and I was late to work.

It's an addiction.

I really liked the shapes and patterns of these leaves. The way the sun was hitting them created a more abstract appearance with the contrasting light and dark areas.
