Start of the season for color !

Another 3 Exposure HDR, this time of a maple leaf, from Sunday's Photo Hike/Geocaching trip to Glen Haffy. On overcast, dreary autumn days simple bracketing and Photomatix are particularly handy to pull all the vibrance possible out of the scene.

This is a leaf on my apple tree catching the morning sun.

Weber Spur Trail between Bryn Mawr and the railroad bridge, LaBagh Woods, Chicago, Illinois. The Weber Spur Trail is an abandoned Union Pacific Railroad right of way. After the rails were removed is has become a nature trail. Future plans are for the construction of a multi-use bike trail, with construction slated to begin in 2015.

A leaf suspended and frozen in an ice pool in the centre of the dog's frisbee.

Fall is upon us.

Held up to the sun (had to crop it tightly to get my finger out of view). Desaturated.

This leaf reminded me of a hand reaching out and holding all the golden tones of autumn.

I found this leaf on the floor of a parking lot.

Little family of aphids on a rose leaf. Just loved the colour coming through the leaf too!
