Honeycrisp apple leaves show leaf mottling. This is a physiological problem of the cultivar. This is not a disease or insect problem. There is nothing that can be done except to let the tree continue to grow.

Had a walk up on the forest behind the vachery the sun was in and out but it was a lovely morning just got home before it rained

on my orchid leaf but I saw no evidence that the beetle had been eating this plant - it was growing near the air potato.

What can I say? I love autumn, and I can't stop taking pictures of leaves. Ha.

A big leaf in Morningside Park.

It has rained for this whole week. It finally let up and I wandered outside.

I think this is an Iris leaf, in the garden pond. All the leaves are smooth but this one has ripples all the way down the middle. These are the shadows of those ripples on the reverse side.

From the ground you could never imagine how windy it would be up here. In some cases the wind ripped the gold leaf off the paper. We probably gilded a few trees as well as this finial
