maple leaf turning a glorious red in late October. and just a couple of days later the leaves looked like this.
The last rays of the today's sun lit the burning bush leafs beautifully.
Every autumn the diminishing daylight hours and falling temperatures induce trees to prepare for winter. In certain regions, such as ours, the shedding of leaves is preceded by a spectacular color show. Formerly green leaves turn to brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red. These color changes are the result of transformations in leaf pigments.
The brightest autumn colors are produced when dry, sunny days are followed by cool, dry nights.
