Up close photo of a leaf from an indoor plant. Not sure what kind of plant it is.

Cereal leaf beetle larvae (Oulema melanopus) are a serious insect pest of cereal crops. It damages a variety of grains particularly oats, barley, and rye, and wheat. After walking through a wheat field the brown stains of their liquid fecal shield will let you know that cereal leaf beetles are present.
