We had this moth on top of our front door, it was about the size of my hand. Does anyone know what it's called?

I found that this very fragile leaf had blown up against my kitchen steps today.

I love the contrast of the blue sky and and the green leaf! (:

Leaf miners are the larvae of insects that live inside the leaves of trees and plants. They are very common among citrus trees, but have been known to attack a number of different trees and some garden crops. They are difficult to get rid of because they live inside the leaf where they are protected from pesticides. Leaf miners are most frequently larvae of moths, flies or beetles.

This is lit with on SB-600 diffused. On manual at 1/64 power (I think). The leaf is placed directly on the flash head.

Played around some at home.

I'm guessing that this is a Japanese Maple leaf. Found near the entrance to the Valdosta Country Club Grill when Jim took me to lunch during my spring break. He was feeling better, and I had gotten a sinus infection. :(
