November 2, 2016 - A green leaf on a tree in the backyard of the apartment where my wife and I live.
CP ethanol load #642 is just east of Adeline Siding as he approaches Leaf River, IL. CP 5005 leads a pair of SD40-2s in the morning light.
No camera used, just a flatbed film scanner (in transparency mode), an HDR combinations of three passes at different exposures,
Leaf miners are the larvae of insects that live inside the leaves of trees and plants. They are very common among citrus trees, but have been known to attack a number of different trees and some garden crops. They are difficult to get rid of because they live inside the leaf where they are protected from pesticides. Leaf miners are most frequently larvae of moths, flies or beetles.
This is lit with on SB-600 diffused. On manual at 1/64 power (I think). The leaf is placed directly on the flash head.
