Young seedlings of the Cut-leaf Coneflower. All parts of this plant are hirstute. Leaves on adult plants are extremely variable in shape.

Good morning. Just a single image today of a fallen leaf taken yesterday with my new camera as I continue to experiment with its features and functions. What caught my eye with this leaf was the white vein system and how it stood out against the pale yellow color.

We were taking a walk around the perimeter of the Tower of London and I looked down to see this wonderful contrast of color and texture.
I was shooting some macro images of a couple of leaves and noticed that the veining reminded me of leafless trees. I thought this was a bit ironic.
