My 14 year old son has never liked football. Recently he asked for a football, which we bought yesterday, so while my husband and son where practising. I took a walk around the perimeter of the park and found this oak tree which still had some leaves clinging to it.

Took this one morning in Akureyri on the north coast of Iceland. One of my favourites. The leaf was just lying there, collecting the morning dew.

Sunshine and Happiness always

Holly

We found this great leaf on the ground. My daughter thought it was beautiful.

I took this to show Benson what a maple leaf looked like. When I showed it to him, he pointed out that we have maple trees in California too. So then I had to look it up, and discovered there are many different types of maple trees, few of which are in California (including the Big Leaf Maple, which seems to be only in the East Bay and Santa Cruz nearby). Then I was no longer sure this actually was a maple leaf. My 10th grade biology teacher would be so disappointed.

I might have gone a bit too far with the colours...
