After the rain, I went out to get some macro shots of various elements in the yard. The sun was out and provided some great back lighting on the remaining leaves on the birch tree outside our apartments.

Good morning. Just a single image today of a fallen leaf taken yesterday with my new camera as I continue to experiment with its features and functions. What caught my eye with this leaf was the white vein system and how it stood out against the pale yellow color.

A pair of insects (sorry I don't know their common name) try to imitate leaves on a plant as a strategy to avoid being eaten.

I was shooting some macro images of a couple of leaves and noticed that the veining reminded me of leafless trees. I thought this was a bit ironic.
