The setting sun casts shadows on a fallen leaf. Photographed in Rengstorff Park in Mountain View, California.

It's a leaf. On the bonnet of my car. This is where I got the title.

A leaf has fallen among the stars.

OK, so it's not a real X-Ray image.

This was also taken in the Rainforest Biome at the Eden Project. With the leaf being backlit I just couldn't pass up the chance for this shot.

Sadly the labelling of the plants was not always that clear, and so I do not know what plant this is from (as is the case with nearly all, if not all, of my shots from within the projects Biomes).

Caught this maple leaf floating by the dock this morning.

A young leaf of Melianthus major (honey bush) which I am attempting to overwinter indoors under a greenhouse light. It would be dead as a doorknob right now if it stayed outside where I live....

This plant is actually a subshrub and has started to flower - which I think is the source of its less-than-nice-smelling odor.

I forgot to adjust my WB for the artificial halide light source, so rather than struggle to get just the right amount of blue in these leaves in Photoshop, I converted the photo B & W.

Probably caused by the mite Aceria.

Half of a huge Autumn leaf. Held up to the sky so the light comes through, and you can see the thundery clouds behind.

Sunny this evening down by the River Adur. This backlit leaf caught my eye
