We are working to identify the pathogen, which is probably a Puccinia sp. (fungus). In lesions are teliospores.

 

Location: Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii

SOOC, No crop. I shot it with the leaf facing the sun and the background was a dark shadow.

 

My intention for this photo shoot is to photograph leaves in various forms and patterns. I found a few that I thought were interesting. This is one of them. I’ll be posting my leaf/leaves picture in the next several days.

This is more backlit than rim lit, but I could not think of too many suitable subjects to try out on.

The sun chose this leaf to be photographed and so I did. so simple a subject brought to life by the light of the morning sun.

Hand held at 2degC with almost frozen fingers at eq. 600mm focal length in low light.
