A Maize leaf is approximately 40 cm long and the height of the whole plant is approximately 150 cm.
This image shows a closer view of a maize leaf.
The leaf is typical of grasses, comprising two parts, the blade and the sheath. The blade has a number of main veins originating at its base, running more or less parallel and converging again at the leaf tip. The sheath is a distinctive feature of leaves of the grass family. It is tightly wrapped around the stem. At the base of the sheath is the node, the point of origin of the leaf.

Last week the first leaf fell in my yard. It took me so by surprise that I documented it. Soon there will be thousands and I won't be documenting but raking.
Anyone know what these are?
UPDATE: Hackberry Nipple Gall. An insect called a psyllid causes this gall.

The Nissan Leaf is a compact five-door hatchback electric car manufactured by Nissan and introduced in Japan and the United States in December 2010, followed by various European countries and Canada in 2011. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) official range for the 2018 model year Leaf is 243 km (151 miles) on a full battery charge. The battery can be charged from empty to 80% capacity in about 30 minutes using DC fast charging.
The Honda CRX del Sol is a 2-seater front-engined, front wheel drive, targa top car manufactured by Honda in the 1990s. Based on the Honda Civic platform, the del Sol was the successor to the popular Honda CR-X. It debuted in 1992 in Japan, the United Kingdom, and United States.
The Spanish name del Sol translates to of the sun, and refers to the car's opening roof. It featured a removable hardtop that stowed in the trunk and a retractable rear window. Manual and automatic “Transtop” roofs were available.
