Red hot outside today, so got some leaves from garden, back lite with sun.

Chrysomelidae: Platyphora sp.

Heart-shaped leaf, with a crenate margin. The mature leaves are hairless.

Changing autumn colours on vine leaves.

Leaf of many colors, especially th bright red in the center of it.

It was cold and icy today, so a trip to the warm, tropical indoor orangerie at Tower Hill seemed like a great idea. The variety of plants is always a joy to see, but especially at this time of year.

Beech leaf in late October.

This looks like an autumn shot but is a new leaf caught in late afternoon sunlight. I think it is some kind of maple.

This huge leaf was so nicely veined that the veins created the valleys and mounds on the surface, leading to such beautiful lighting pattern, which makes it appear as multiple leaves, though it is just one single leaf!

 

It also appears like the stripes of the tiger or boats tied at the harbor! More imaginations welcome!
