Forgot to upload this yesterday. Oops.

We don't really get autumn here in Florida. Mostly, we have summer until January, where we then get a few weeks of winter, then, if we're lucky, a little bit of spring before it's back to summer again. We also don't get the pretty fall leaves like the northern part of the country does. Our leaves go from green to brown pretty much overnight.

This is a sycamore leaf, in the process of dying. There's a little yellow to it, but they don't stay that way for long.

Fern Leaf

I have no idea what this plant is but it had very interesting lines and leaves.

I stepped on this leaf in the parking lot at my office and then noticed the patterning on it. Luckily, it was undamaged and I was able to make this shot.

The leaf is only about 2 inches long and the colors and pattern are completely natural. Aside from some sharpening, the only enhancement I did in Photoshop Elements was the background blur.

Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), the leaf dried out considerably sitting in the office all day before I took the photo. I'm going to see if I can "rehydrate" it a bit.

I would like to title this photo like the Tolkien's story "Leaf By Niggle"; but i think very few people know this "fairy tale" from the creator of "The Lord of The Rings"

It is very easy to see in a single leaf the complete, tall and mighty tree.
