With some leaves, it’s the fine structure I like. With this one however, the subtle colour gradient is just as nice.

I was walking a trail I had never used in the Monmouth County Park System when I stopped to look around. I happened to watch as the white undersided leaf fell and came to rest on the broad green leaf. How quickly time moves on.
We use use these leaves when we got stung by stinging nettles when we were young so they were call dock leaves by rubbing them on the spot where we were stung, a simple image but the back light makes it interesting, very little processing was done pretty much strait out of camera.

Today was the first day in upstate NY that actually felt like autumn, and I found this beautiful leaf to celebrate with! Let the fireplaces and hot cider begin!
