Autumn golden leaf fall

I'm pretty sure this is my favorite of the bunch that I took on Sunday morning's excellent adventure to the Nitobe Botanical Gardens at UBC with Lars, Sarah, Doug and Tara. We were disappointed to find that the Nitobe Gardens have switched to winter hours, and are no longer open on weekends, but made the best of it with a trip to the UBC Botanical gardens for some of the fall colours on display there.

I could see the light on these leaves, and saw the ground behind in darkness and knew this gem was waiting to be captured!

Backlighting leaves really brings out the colors and you can see all the veins within - beautiful!
