The velvety texture of the sage leaves - which shows up better in the other photo- is what inspired me to make this ring. I think I'll be posting more rings featuring herb leaves, or other leaves that I find interesting during the next days.....as if I haven't made enough leaf rings already :-)
I've written about Pinecrest Gardens before....it used to be Parrot Jungle back in the day, and once they moved the city of Pinecrest bought the land and turned it into a garden. Stop on by!
Colorful maple leaves dangle from hand forged sterling silver wires and remind us of the simple beauty of nature.

The Sun was shining brightly on my Schubert Chokecherry tree. I had my macro lens attached to the D800 and was able to focus exactly on the lower edges of the orange Autumn leaf.
The leaf was quite small, only two inches long or so.

This was one of the many leaves that have fallen from the maple trees in the front yard.. I just happen to have my macro lens on and it picked up the droplets really well...
