A chilly start to the day

This leaf was just asking to have a photo taken. The natural light was shining from behind, and i just couldn't resist. Maybe could have done with a little more dof.

New grape leaves have a bronze hue.

A leaf after a spring rain

Never say there is nothing beautiful in the world anymore.

There is always something to make you wonder in the shape of a tree, the trembling of a leaf.

This leaf is lonely :(

Lol. Thanks my flickr friends for all of your invites, comments and favourites!

Another coleus leaf pattern. This one creates the illusion of a 3-dimensional pear shape. Coleus plants like this grow wild in many areas of Sri Lanka.

Active Assignment Weekly: Minimalism/K.I.S.S

Found this lovely leaf in my backyard as I was challenging myself to find something minimalist outdoors.

What it took: I used a shallow depth of field, a fast shutter speed, and carefully selected my focus point. I had to move some branches out of the way to achieve the creamy background. Only a crop and slight contrast boost in post-process.

Leaf killed due to heat...

Day 202:365

It grew over our neighbour's fence on a vine. I think it is a kiwi plant leaf.
