I dropped this leaf in front of the camera and fired off a bunch of shots. Even still, it was hard to catch it all in focus.

Leaves are often at their most spectacular as they die off.

on a kite base like many of my models now ! I don't know why, but I like this traditionnal base for make two in one models ( "hidden", "on the lookout", ...) .

so this is not my favourite, it could be better I think...

Simple shot but I like it... ^-^

50mm ƒ1.4 + EF12 II Extension Tube, ƒ14, 1/200s, ISO 100, Canon 430EX II above and slightly behind subject through umbrella @ full power, 1 ft away, cookie rack used as gobo, triggered w/ PWs.

I found a similar shot to this one a while back and tucked it away for when the leaves changed. I'll link to it if I can find the original concept.

i didn't get the upper right part of the leaf into focus, grrr, hate it!!

Sunset, deep and red;

now the leafs are transparent

feel them in your hand,

how soft the structure,

how peaceful and aglow,

and in my dreams;

they are still shining,

in the darkest night
