Seen at a gas station (still in operation) in a small Swabian town: The signs on this gas pump say that you can choose between diesel, premium (unleaded or leaded) and regular gas.

 

I chose unleaded premium but wondered what I would have come out of the “leaded premium” hose. Leaded gas was phased out in 1996 and became illegal in Europe in 2000.

During a break in the action at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships, representatives from Kansas State University and Texas A&M University tried their hand at a stick pole-bending relay.

WASA redecorates 8th St., replacing lead pipes with copper. They actually did a good job of cleaning up.
