John Bath's N gauge layout using the board and landscape I rescued from being thrown away. With church, pub, police phone box ("tardis"), factory, canal and barge (with N gauge dog), station and houses down a dead-end lane. Based on semi-industrial regions of north Derbyshire.
About 6 years ago I made up a weird keyboard layout for myself. I’d developed a severe case of RSI in my wrists, and having gone through several types of ergonomic keyboards that didn’t cut it, I took the plunge and got a $350 Kinesis. Once it arrived it took me about 5 seconds to realize that the learning curve on that thing was so steep I might as well switch to the Dvorak layout since that had a reputation for being much faster and easier to type on than the usual QWERTY. But, after about 3 or 4 days of using Dvorak I discovered it still wasn’t particularly comfortable.

Proposed new layout for [ jonathancraddock.com ]
Still working on the design in Photoshop and have not fully worked out the CSS yet. Definitely a work in progress, but will be seen on my personal site soon! :-)
In portrait mode the layout is re-arranged. The 'fat' toolbar of S60 5th Edition is gone. Icons are larger (spread over two rows, not three), which makes for a bigger target area. Note also the inclusion of a larger and more centralised notification area. Pressing this area bring up the connection and status box, which makes it easy to changes connections (find WiFi) and get at a glance status.
Amei esse lay, mesmo que tenha ficado feio , a linda da Pixie salva :D
Espero que gostem,comentem e zoom 4ever!

I forgot to post this layout yesterday! I had so much fun making a Glee layout. I've scrapped about TV before, sharing my love of Friends scrapinspired.com/2010/03/friends/, Mickey scrapinspired.com/2010/03/ella-tv-challenge-week-2-mickey..., and Designed to Sell scrapinspired.com/2010/03/tv-inspired-scrapping/. Didn't realize how crazy I was about scrapping my TV!! :) So glad I can add a Glee layout to the list!

While waiting for the release of the tracks I've been continuing to edit the layout to make the lines flow a lot better.
-I moved the passenger station into the interior loop to allow more space for the station building and allow a longer train
-Shifted the switches for the siding to better align to the stud grid.
-Redesigned the spaghetti mess of a junction in the top of the layout to make a more aesthetically pleasing flow
-Fixed the lines that'll go through the cut-through. as it is off of a switch on the angle it needed a 1.6 straight to match the parallel.
-Smoothed out the curves in the cut-through so that it isn't a staggered curve.
Once the large radius curves and partial straights come out I can begin the build just a looping layout while waiting for the switch tracks coming down the development pipeline.
While designing the layout there are a couple of "rules" that I have set for myself.
1. 2+ mainlines -The initiating factor for the redesign is to include multiple loops where I can run multiple trains at once.
2. The removal of R40 curves. -They are way to tight especially for scale models. The same goes for the standard switch tracks.
3. A train can go from any track loop to any track loop going in any direction. -I didn't want to have to reverse direction to change the loop that the train was running on.
4. I want a tunnel. -Years ago for the basic circle of a layout I had I had built a 16x32 tunnel with a 32x32 park integrated into the side. The tunnel arch was just the basic (*x2 and *x3) slope bricks with the inverted versions beneath. Now I want an actual hillside and a long curved tunnel.
5. Landscape -With the increased detail of the track I really should have something better then bare baseplates. So I'm designing elevated landscape with lakes, a creek, a hillside with a tunnel and a cut-through, a forest of trees, farm fields. I don't have enough room for a city/ town so buildings are minimal.
6. Interchangeability -It probably wont happen with the first design of the layout but a goal I have is to make the landscape be on easily removable plates so that I can change the seasons by just swapping them around. (Large sheets of landscape with support pillars tiled with minimal connection points)
7. Metal track -If not for 9v capabilities then for aesthetics. metal rails are a must. I missed ME rails during my dark age and so was very excited when I came across the announcement of FxBricks' track proposal.
As it sits currently the layout design is at the maximum size it can be. I want to use this a a test bed for future projects and eventually have a large landscaped layout with distinct separate towns, varying landscapes, the ability to have running session/ operations on the layout. This part is all quite speculative and years in the future.
I made myself a Playstation 1 layout for MALA. It shows the snapshot and box art image for each game in the list. I also added some machine specs of the original PS1 for laughs. Not totally feeling the area kinda under the list, it feels like I'm missing something so I might still do some minor tweaks to it.
My next step though is to get the emulator loading more smoothly from the frontend. right now it opens 2 windows neither full sized . I need to figure out how to not load the diagnostic window and start the game window maximized..
One more quick layout for the cookbook. This one is very clean, very "white". Also based on the first mockup (I don't have that much free time, you know xD)
OMG! Eu amei, mesmo, estou melhorando muitoooo nos meus Layouts :D Essa da minha Vic, SUPEREI (rsrsrsrs), enfim. As cores e o PNG, merda, perfeito! A fonte de titulo, to bege, os afiliados, to preta (?). A foto da Vic ali pequena é o Twitter dela, ou enfeite, num sei... Comentei e encomendem pra quem tem fan-site da Vic, não vale de outro artista, ok? FlickMail para que vc mande os dados certos pro meu e-mail. Beijocaaaaaaaassssssssss
