This is my first permanent lego train layout.
It uses a 6 ft x4 ft plywood base, which comes to about 7 x 5 lego baseplates.
it allows two trains to run concurrently and independently, while a third 'full size' train is temporarily parked, and finally a fourth 'short' one can be placed on the remaining derivation.
The 'city' is mostly laid out in the middle, with a custom made and narrower main street.
A tunnel on the back side allows to place more modulars on top.
In this picture, modulars on main street have their upper floors removed so the shot captures the whole railroad behind them.
Layout of a new detector system for the next 3D unit (2013) with 2 external fast 6 ms shutters. I would like to calculate the optimal position as well as the direction of flight. Detector calculation need to be super fast, into less then 50us. The readout of the 128 analog pixels from the sensor + high-speed ADC 8 bits convertion may take a max of 50 us, + 50 us for position-direction calculation (10.000 calculations per second). This is a start of my dream, the special components are just in order, planning delivery next Tuesday. Given the new components, the majority are implanted in SMD. This is an additional difficulty, only single-layer PCB is available at this moment. The line-sensor is true hole 14 pins version, all others are SMD.

All components are delivered! Time to make the interface board to the FPGA DE1 board to connect this line array unit.

Since my SNES to USB adapters should be here any day now , I put together a layout in MALA to show snapshots and boxart for the SNES games that matches the theme I had for the arcade games.
I'm still considering some minor tweaks on a few things, but I've been working on it a while and its good enough for now

Fiz esse lay por pedido de uma menina, mas eu não se ela vai mesmo comprar, por que até agora sumiu. Eu gostei bastante, mas pelo visto ela achou um pouco sem "detalhes", mas uma coisa é certa, não dá pra fazer um layout perfeito e cobrar um simples preço baratinho, por que se cobrar caro, reclamam, mas esquecem do tempo que demora pra fazer, pra codificar e etc.
Se eu for vender, vai custar R$ 25,00, qualquer coisa, se tiver interessado comenta aÃ, dai eu aviso se está a venda ou não, caso entre em contato com a garota e ela cancele!
O Raphaell sugeriu que eu fizesse um da Britney... eu fiz, mas não ficou como eu esperava (eu queria que ficasse algo bem diva e pá). Ainda não sei se vou colocá-lo aqui ou não, mas de qualquer forma vou tentar fazer outro dela (:
