The unexpected organic shape of the storage system layout is the result of original
research into the expressive languages of extruded aluminium creating an innovatively
styled version of an item of furniture common in both the home and the office. Used
as a central island or as a room divider, this complex system can be adapted to serve any
purpose. Unconventional and decorative in shape, layout is practical and easy to use.
La sorprendente forma organica di layout, sistema di mobili contenitore, nasce
dall’originale ricerca sui linguaggi espressivi dell’estruso di alluminio e conferisce un
valore estetico innovativo a un arredo di uso comune in casa e ufficio. Isola a centro
stanza o quinta architettonica, questo progetto adatta la sua molteplice morfologia
ad ogni funzione. Un oggetto anticonvenzionale e decorativo nella forma, pratico
e razionale nell’uso.
Micro(shoe box)layout under construction. Loco is converted N gauge AHM Plymouth, track is hand laid(Code 70) and buildings are mock-ups of proposed structures. Inspired by the Melbridge Box Company:
Layout based on yours truly! Used Photoshop to give the picture that puzzle look. Used papers from several Scarlet Lime kits.

The layout artist makes a background drawing for the background of each scene. The layout artist also makes rough sketches of the characters to show the animators what size the characters should be. The layouts are transferred to illustration board, and are painted by the background artist. The background artists help develop the mood and color harmony of the entire picture.
This diorama explains the animation process from start to finish.

I’ve managed to get a lot of work done on the layout recently and have gotten many things done.
I’ve managed to finish all the ballast work and added light grey plates around the ties to get more detail.
I have also been slowly adding more trees to the layout and have been able to build up a more wooded area to the left of the road.
Since I started the layout I have been slowly building up some commercial buildings on the right of the road. The exteriors are mostly done except for some roof detail and they are all needing some more interior work.
In front of the buildings I have replaced the awkward road baseplate i h a brick built parking lot, although I used up most of my dark grey bricks, I still think it was worth it.
All in all I’m happy with my progress and am now working on mor finer details for the layout!

Been taking my free time to come-up with my professional portfolio album sampler that I can show my potential clients in the future. I have to admit that album layout is not an easy job but with enough creativity and the right amount of inspiration I can possibly come-up with a decent one in no time. I hope to complete by portfolio album this month.

The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the middle of Beijing, China, and now houses the Palace Museum. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government.
Built in 1406 to 1420, the complex consists of 980 buildings and covers 720,000 m2 (7,800,000 sq ft). The palace complex exemplifies traditional Chinese palatial architecture, and has influenced cultural and architectural developments in East Asia and elsewhere
The design of the Forbidden City, from its overall layout to the smallest detail, was meticulously planned to reflect philosophical and religious principles, and above all to symbolise the majesty of Imperial power. Some noted examples of symbolic designs include:
Yellow is the color of the Emperor. Thus almost all roofs in the Forbidden City bear yellow glazed tiles. There are only two exceptions. The library at the Pavilion of Literary Profundity had black tiles because black was associated with water, and thus fire-prevention. Similarly, the Crown Prince's residences have green tiles because green was associated with wood, and thus growth.
The main halls of the Outer and Inner courts are all arranged in groups of three – the shape of the Qian triagram, representing Heaven. The residences of the Inner Court on the other hand are arranged in groups of six – the shape of the Kun triagram, representing the Earth.
The sloping ridges of building roofs are decorated with a line of statuettes led by a man riding a phoenix and followed by an imperial dragon. The number of statuettes represents the status of the building – a minor building might have 3 or 5. The Hall of Supreme Harmony has 10, the only building in the country to be permitted this in Imperial times. As a result, its 10th statuette, called a "Hangshi", or "ranked tenth" is also unique in the Forbidden City.
The layout of buildings follows ancient customs laid down in the Classic of Rites. Thus, ancestral temples are in front of the palace. Storage areas are placed in the front part of the palace complex, and residences in the back.
