Did some more work today on the Zelda overworld layout. You can see grass starting to expand along the fresh dirt, including some land-bridge stuff I've built between what will eventually be trimmed down to appropriately isolated bits of "rock".
Trying to use the funky current water physics of the Minecraft engine to fill in that large wet area has been a challenge; I'll have to do some serious bucket work to get the water nice and flat the way it should be, but I managed to get at least some basic wetness in there to define the space at a glance.
This is still nly a small fraction of the total work needing done, but it's nice to get a decent chunk put

This is the scanned version of my layout for the friendship challenge!
Note: My scanner is leaving a 'blue tinge' on the left - View 1 is crisper - you just have to enlarge it!
(I copied the description from View1 to here since this view is getting more comments!) Thank you so much!!!!
This layout captures the special friendship my daughter has with our guard dog Jessie - a great Pyrenees, who stays out with the sheep day and night! During the summer one of her jobs was to go out in the field and feed him. My sweet daughter loves all creatures great and small (which ties into the journal block) and has a special bond with just about any critter on the ranch! She is our animal girl.
Journaling was done in MS word - with 2peas fonts Al Capone & AL Evening Stroll. I took the verse (which is an Anglican hymn) from the Jame's Herriot books... which I have read and reread!!
Stamping: I stamped Italian Poetry onto the paper flowers with Timber Brown Stazon (have to do this more often!) and also on the scallop paper behind the small photo; stamped the Silhouette Corner with while SU Craft onto big photo, stamped with versamark and heat embossed Ranger Seafoam onto the journal block (which is photo paper - first try bubbled up!)...and stamped the branch above and below the big photo.
Hero Arts Stamps Used:
CL189 From Our Home : branch with blossoms
CL151 Share Laughter - 'Friends' sentiment embossed on journaling block
H5011 Silhouette Corner - Stamped in craft white on main photo
S1832 Italian Poetry Background - stamped on paper flowers
Other supplies: Webster Pages pp; SU markers, Timber Brown Stazon; Versamark; Ranger Seafoam ep; Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink; paper flowers (Prima?), buttons, hemp twine, SU punches.
Thanks for looking!!!
Thanks!
I've spent months slowly routing my battery desulfator. Now that I've
finally finished the routing I've decided to start over. What a mess!
I have never seen such irresponsible uses of via's. This next layout
will go much faster (I hope) and come out a lot cleaner. I'm so
frustrated that I spent this long and produced a lousy set of gerbers.
*Perfect Present*....this is such a silly layout with silly photos of me and hubby on Christmas. This is a layout that I've been wanting to do and have been holding onto a Victoria's Secret ribbon that came on a gift given to me by my hubby. See, he isn't exactly the most romantic gift giver and just over the past 2 years he has stumbled onto giving me pajamas from Victorias Secret that I've been absolutly thrilled over. I told him that anything in a box from V.S. would make me happy and he has been giving me beautiful pink boxes from there ever since for all occasions...including this past Christmas like in the photos of this layout. They were actually the most silly photos of me ever on Christmas eve and the two of use were exchanging gifts. I used that ribbon on this layout and a tag too that came off of another item...so these were the "recycled" items that I used on this layout.
Printed paper, alpha stickers, embellishments & rubons are all Making Memories/"present" rubons, KI Memories/Notebook punch, Stampin Up.
