Eastern Europe - Bulgaria - България - Rose Valley - Розова долина - Rozova dolina - Lavender fields in full bloom with lovely violet flowers and gentle, mesmerising aroma for production of organic Bulgarian Lavender Oil - Area surrounded by mountains of Central Balkan National Park
Beautiful lavender fields might be associated more with the Provence, region in France, however Bulgaria had become world leader in the production and export of lavender oil in recent years and that goes hand in hand with increased amount of lavender fields across the country. Vising lavender fields during peak time is a pure joy from visual perspective, enhanced by the mesmerizing lavender smell with sound of countless busy bees collecting lavender nectar for honey production.
Timelapse movies had become my new way of capturing my travels besides regular photography and this particular moment shows why. Weather could not have been more amazingly dramatic for this wonderful sight. See for yourself at :

Flew in for one night just to go to this spot. It has such a small window between the bloom and harvest. Made it just in time - behind the tree you can see they have already started. The smell was intoxicating. Could've stayed there for days. Absolute bucket list location!
I thought I'd make a break from the warm autumn pics and post another shot of the lavender fields.... Looking at it, I can still hear the buzzing of the bees and that sound the crickets made.

During summer, the landscape of Provence in France is adrift with the calming scent of lavender.
A field of fully ripened lavender on a very early morning, a bunch of busy bees buzzing all around, and me lying on the ground, trying to get an upward view of these mesmerizing blooms! What a scene for the rare car that passed by on the nearby road, so awkward ...but all for the sake of photography. :) And, yes, I loved every minute of it!
Have a beautiful day my fiends!
A moment my wife has long dreamed of. Strolling through the Lavender Fields in the Provence.
I'll never forget the moment she saw the fields for the very first time.
I love you!
Taken back in June last year.
No lavender was damaged. We were very careful, unlike many other people and photographers around.

Life is change and agriculture in the Winequarter is now also reacting to climate change. With lavender fields, for example ...!
I discovered this huge field between Neubau and Paasdorf.

I'm quite behind on flickr- just returned this afternoon from a trip to the South of France to meet an old friend who lives in Aubagne, near Marseille. I particularly wanted to see the lavender fields and so we took a day trip up towards Valensole and a large area of lavender fields. I took this one just as the sun, which was a beautiful golden ball, was setting to my left.

I threw my Polaroid GO in my bag and went down the road to @lavender_kisses_farm for the first ever Lavender Fest and had to stop at the flower truck from @ivycornercamden to make my own bouquet for $20! Beautiful flowers, beautiful truck, and a beautiful festival! All local to West Tennessee too!
A great Summer Storm creates some unique light over the lavender fields.
