I feel so lucky that this farm is so close to home and I am able to visit whenever I feel like it. Today was a just quick, spontaneous morning mooch but I'm going back next week at a different time of the day, can't wait... just hope the weather doesn't spoil my plans.

The Valensole Plateau is situated at an altitude of 500 mtrs in the south of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and covers an area of 800 km² with lavender fields, wheat fields and charming villages.

The best time to visit the Plateau is july, when it is awash with beautiful blue lavender in bloom.When I took this pic the lavender was just colouring but not yet full in bloom.
