At time when the Lavender is flowering there are many tourists in the region -among them many people from Japan nad other Asian countries. A nice view :-)
I used a "Sage" effect for the image and hope you will like it.

When we visited the lavender and sunflower fields in Valensole we stopped for a lunch which I'd prepared earlier at home before we left. We unpacked a couple of foldaway chairs and table from the back of the car and sat down and enjoyed the grub and the view. It might look like we were bang in the middle of a lavender field but we were in fact on a little track which appeared to be unused and was between two lavender fields. You can see a car in the distance to the right and they were doing exactly the same as us.

A visit to a Lavender Farm today in Prince Edward County, Ontario, luckily I brought my crystal ball along!
This is very special for me. At a sim in SL where Jay and I wandered amongst the lavender and then spent some time enjoying ourselves. So beautiful I just had to get a pic of us.

An iconic place in lavender fields

Certainly not the best hour in the day...
We're at the beginning of a severe heatwave which is preventing us from doing anything outdoors during the afternoon/early evening. It's currently 40c in the shade. It's due to break though next weekend when temperatures will drop to a delightful 26c. This photo shows a field of barley with a glimpse of a lavender field top right. It was very hot on this day too which I see was taken on 9 July. Summer does tend to go on and on and on here.

At Gower Fresh Christmas Trees - Lavender Farm. This is an arch created specifically for people to take photos of their children, dogs, themselves etc.etc. This is a side view of it, if you like because I was afraid of getting in people's way

also to breath in the lovely lavender smells!
On continue la série lavande avec ce deuxième couché de soleil, cette fois-ci dans un autre champ (ce n'est pas ce qui manque près de Valensole !).
Ici ce sont ces arbres en contre jour qui ont attiré mon regard, j'avais également la chance que le ciel s'enflamme de cette façon 😍 Que demander de plus pour un photographe ! Bien plus intéressant qu'un ciel bleu vide, sans texture...

so fed up with flickr I dunno if its me but flickr is starting to feel Like a ghost town everybody seems to be disapearing or not posting as much its so quiet on here nowadays Im beginning to think the time has come to leave and I dunno about anybody else but the stats issue is pissing me of big time according to my stats today I have had 3,559 visits ha what A joke that is and imo I think that that is a ploy to make you think your getting more views to disguise the fact that flickr is becoming Like a ghost town .......

The colours were quite remarkable and the aroma quite unbelievable
Another shot I took at the Lavender Farm. Had the 3 inch Crystal Ball with me so spend a few minutes trying to find good spots to prop it. Next time I use it I think I will use a tripod for shooting instead of handheld, even though the lens I was using was light I still think I was not steady enough. Oh yes and a word of advise for anyone doing crystal ball photography, if it is a sunny don't pick the ball up in your bare hands it will burn you as I quickly learned my lesson yesterday! lol! Also I flipped this image vertically to give you a right side up view of the lavender field as when you take photos with this ball the image inside the ball is upside down.
The plateaus around the Verdon Gorge are filled with the heavenly perfume of Lavender, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.
(Yes, I know the song by Simon & Garfunkel!)
Almost endless the lavender fields stretch out against the horizon. Mixed with huge fieldsof flowering pink Sage and golden Grain, it is a gorgeous view.
I was glad to be there at the right time - When I left the region, farmers started harvesting the Lavender.
And I returned back home with all products I could get : Lavender Oil, Soap, herbs, and honey.

Die Hochebenen um die Verdonschlucht sind erfüllt vom herrlichen Duft der blühenden Lavendelfelder, von Salbei, Rosmarian und Thymian. Himmlisch!
.....Fast endlos erstrecken sich die Felder bis hin zum Horizont. Sich abwechselnd mit Feldernvon rosaviolett-blühendem Salbei und goldenem Weizen, ist es ein fantastischer Anblick.
Ich war glücklich, gerade zur richtigen Zeit dort gewesen zu sein, denn kurz vor unsererAbreise begannen die Bauern, den Lavendel zu ernten.
Und ich kehrte nach Hause zurück mit allen Produkten, die es gab: pflegendes Lavendelöl,Seifen, Kräuter und natürlich auch Lavendelhonig.Und einem Strauss getrockneter Blüten, der
immer noch den Duft aus den Feldern verströmt....

Took my sister out to the Lavender Farm near Horton Bay, MI today. Gorgeous day there. Fragrance was outstanding too.
After a wonderful summer sunset at the Lavender Farm in Somerset I started to head back to car dry content.
I had quick look back with tripod over my shoulder and the field looked even more spectacular with the late colour in the sky.
How could I resist a few more photos with the rows of Lavender flowers looking their absolute best.
