Launch of the Clinical Skills Suite at Leeds Metropolitan University, specialist facilities, which enable students studying across a range of health professions the opportunity to train using state-of-the-art equipment, are to be unveiled at Leeds Metropolitan University.
The £1 million Clinical Skills Suite will be used by students studying courses including Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy and consists of a high-tech simulation suite with critical care bed, high-tech human patient simulator, a film recording system and viewing room, a community living space with a ceiling hoist and adapted equipment as well as four teaching rooms equipped for the teaching and safe practice of a range of healthcare skills.

The legendary United Launch Alliance Atlas V, flying in the 551 configuration, fires into the sunset sky carrying the AFSPC-11 payload for the United States Air Force. AFSPC-11 consists of CBAS (Continuous Broadcast Augmenting SATCOM) and EAGLE (ESPA Augmented GEO Laboratory Experiment). CBAS is a military communications satellite dedicated to senior leaders of the military and combatant commanders, while EAGLE is a experimental testbed that can host or deploy as many as six separate payloads. The Atlas V begun its mission from Space Launch Complex 41 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
A twilight launch of a Minotaur rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base. Picture taken from the roof of my condominium complex in Sherman Oaks, CA. The rocket carried the DARPA Streak satellite into a polar orbit. Because the launch was at twilight, the rocket was high enough to be in sunlight, while we on the ground were in darkness. Thus we were treated to a show of noctilucent clouds from the rocket's exhaust trail.

"The Talus MB-764 is a four-wheel drive launch tractor which was specifically designed for the RNLI, to launch and recover inflatable inshore lifeboats from beach and shore based launched lifeboat stations. The Tractor is produced by the British company of Clayton Engineering Limited who are based in Knighton, Powys."
