Recoat Gallery is celebrating its 4th birthday this summer. So far they’ve held 42 exhibitions
at Recoat and 15 satellite shows at other spaces, they’ve exhibited work from 5 continents,
managed a European Tour and last month brought 10 international artists to Glasgow where
each artist created large scale murals around the city. So they certainly have plenty to
celebrate!
This year they are launching Team Recoat, a collective of 10 Scottish artists that they feel
are creating exciting and well-crafted work that showcases the varied styles of art Recoat
exhibits. Team Recoat consists of Kirsty Whiten, Susie Wright, Elph, David Galletly, Rue Five,
Al White, Mark Lyken, FiST, Syrkus and Death Rattles.
Their 4th Birthday exhibition opens on the 12th of August and will launch Team Recoat. Each
of the 10 artists has created a limited edition screen print that will be on show alongside
original paintings and drawings.
The show will run for a month, closing on 4th September, open 12-6pm Tues- Sun.
