The hubby took me out on a date night and we ate at Max & Erma's. Who says chain restaurants don't have style? The lighting in there was impressive.
(do you call them lamps, by the way?)

Dry lips, quiet mouth
But my heart screams, almost suffocated:
A great desire for this night never to end.
Is it the voice of happiness?
Is it the scream of fear?
My blood runs fast, and I know inside:
I lived something worth dying for.
Two exposures combined into one: The lamp turned off and the lamp "just turning on" (high speed capture of several photos while pressing the on switch gave me the filament starting to burn up but not yet fully lit). In Gimp: general-purpose curves adjustments, clean-up and enhance the red tones of the "almost turned on" light.

A rusty old steam valve I have restored and repurposed into a table lamp, mounted on an old car brake disk with filament light bulbs to compliment.

Had an irreparable clarinet hangin around, bought an old lamp for parts, turned a base out of a scrap of oak and here it is.
A lamp I made out of LEGO bricks, inspired by Sean Kenney's Lamps. I put a little twist on the idea by adding a bunch of 1x1 round white plates to the base. And yes, it works!
