The cake is actually the shade, the base is a real lamp that has been modified to hold the cake. Covered in fondant and the Ohio State Block O was drawn by hand,

The mock Tudor station masters house at Berwyn stands out among the late summer greenery as 5199 drifts into the station.

Platform lamps, milling passengers, branches and the ever present threat of a car approaching from behind make this a challenging shot to take.

Lampen in einem Hausflur

I wound up walking home from work, and was at a loss for any decent shots (it was after dark, which usually is a death knell for getting a late Single In shot for me) when I spotted these.

The photo came out wildly better than I anticipated.

Lamp post by the Louvre.

At first I shot this picture of this lamp, thinking it as the "main photo". Then I thought that I should have a general view of the lamp in question so I shot this one. As something "I'll just quickly shoot it" I think this one turned out really nice, possibly even better than the original idea.

By the way, here is the light switch too. I like that photo as well.

Taken with a Panasonic Lumix FZ45 bridge camera. Some editing in Picasa.
