Marcie wasn't rendered with the iPhone. The Boeing was though, back in 2013. This past Saturday, Sandy and I photographed Marcie with the Sony alpha 77 and a Sony 50 mm f/1.4 lens. I had bought a few hats last week, and I just knew she would look great in them. This is the resulting composite image from both shots.
This is a made with a premium bulky acrylic and 10% wool, single plied roving yarn.
And, nice and soft.
This hat measures 10 inches when laying flat which means that it will fit a head measurement of 20" to 22".
The hat height when laying flat is 9 inches.

ah, i wish i could say this was just taken, but that would be a lie. it's sadly been far too mild for snow around these parts.
i shot this back in february (or so the data says) and for some reason never did anything with it.
i remember coming home from work in a heavy snow, and really hoped it would hold until i could get my gear and find somewhere to shoot. it more or less cooperated, and i got some shots in before my fingers got TOO cold.
now how about some snow in the next week or so, eh?
These are from a session a while back with Katie and her parents. She was so precius and so much fun to shoot. We had so much fun doing this session. Sweet Parents!

I use a journal to keep track of my projects, record what I've done, and design new projects. (Unfortunately the best journal pages are for projects I can't show here yet.) Usually a design page includes sketches, notes, yarn samples, and eventually a copy of the ball band from the yarn I used and a photo of the final project.
This page is the "Been there, knit that" section of the journal, which was too short, and I ran out of room for my finished items very quickly -- and I'm a slow knitter! (Note to Debbie Stoller -- change the balance of pages in the next edition. More room for FOs, less design space -- I use the design space like crazy, but there's just a ton of it in comparison to the other sections.)
The journal is the Stitch 'n Bitch knitting journal, which is not bad, but the binding is lame and there are not enough pages for finished projects. However, I'm repurposing other pages for that. I do actually love the journal other than those small problems.

Taken in 2006.
It was October, windy, and getting cold. Knitted mittens and and a knitted hat, not to mention a down jacket, were appropriate protection for a caricaturist who had to sit all day waiting for clients at the chilly end of the tourist season. In Quincy Market (Faneuil Hall Marketplace).
