Harvard Square, 1972. This girl stood at a stand selling knit and sewn hats and other fabricky things. The kid in the upper right corner had eyes for her, too.

Taken in 2006.
It was October, windy, and getting cold. Knitted mittens and and a knitted hat, not to mention a down jacket, were appropriate protection for a caricaturist who had to sit all day waiting for clients at the chilly end of the tourist season. In Quincy Market (Faneuil Hall Marketplace).

...Don't say you don't notice them...
As a teacher I know it's wrong to play favourites, but these two students are members of my favourite class. Upon reading their survey I feel it's safe to say that I am their favourite teacher as they referred to me as "lovely, perfect, beautiful, and the best."
They aren't afraid to ask me questions, they help each other, they do their homework, and they are looking forward to their final exam...
In some ways I feel like I have become their adoptive mother. Almost every day one or all of them presents me with personal situations asking for advice, recommendations, or help.
Presently they are keeping me entertained with a game of twenty questions. Two of the students saw me outside of the classroom having dinner with a gentleman. I did not see them. Of course they did not recognize the man, but apparently I was "sweet" looking with him. Now they ask me yes/no questions trying to figure out who his is...little do they know it will be impossible...
As of late I feel like I've been putting up a really great front, but apparently not so good...one of the students looked at me with a sad puppy face and said, "it's alright teacher." When I questioned them he replied, "I know you're sad." It nearly made me cry.
In short, I love these darlings.

I'm really happy to introducing this little girl (with some delay but here she is!) she's Cocoa, a custom blythe by Poison Girl ^__^ and my "second" blythe (yes i can't resist the cuteness of blythe and fell into the temptation >_<). Thank you so much Poison for made this little girl and let me adopt her! and special thanks to my bf for helping me to get her. she's really cute and i'm totally in love with her! the picture is a little "simply" but i don't have so much time in these days!! i need to make more pictures of her
yeah, the picture's a little fuzzy, but i blame the camera and the light. you still get the idea though.
*** Fabulous images are by Purple Owl Photography ~ a wonderfully talented photographer! Thank you, Julie!

Makes a great baby shower gift. Mom's love these cute cotton hats
i was trying to knit a hat for my new enyo and somehow i messed up the math when converting from my gauge swatch, it ended up a bit on the big side and mirielle snagged it instead :P now she says she needs a sweater to match!
it's dark here so the lighting is terrible and i had to use a flash to get her pretty eyes to show up
Pattern: Kiddie Cadet knit hat from kathrynivy.com/
Yarn: Cascade 220 Superwash #869 Army Green
This hat is great for play time! We designed it so there is no need for a rigid bill insert that could end up getting bent.
I'm SO mad at myself...I really screwed this (could have been cute) shot up...paid no attention to my shutter speed because for some reason, I thought I was in AV mode...hence, this was really underexposed and grainy. I tried to bring it back to life because I love her little grin...*sigh*

Just being whimsical, I hand painted a snowman with a basket of seeds for the birds, a red cardinal and blue jay.
Your tights have a run? Make more! I also altered the dress, making it shorter and more modern.
