I used the "Headigan" pattern I found on Ravelry and added my own embellishments (like sewing Liberty "Strawberry thief" on the overlapping parts).
Grace was a bit over 6 months here and this was the first of her rides in the wagon.
For the month of August Shutter Sisters one word project is "Faces". So I posted this one I plan on picking one face pic a day to post.
It's Ezra's second birthday! I asked him if he wanted to pose for a photo and he decided to go all out with the wardrobe. Many thanks to his Mom and older sister, Elena, for helping him find all the props he required.

So I made this hat in 2003, I think, and it's from the Summer 2001 issue of Knitter's Magazine (Diamond Head Hat). In the pattern, the mitered diamonds are finished off with triangles so the hat has an even bottom, and there is a fold-up brim in addition to that. I liked the petal effect, so I left it like this. :-) The yarn is "Kureyon" from Noro.
The DNA helix scarf I made in early 2006 (Dr. Montville's Double Helix Seaman Scarf). The lovely (wonderful, really) yarn is "Merinosoie" from Bouton D'Or.

i was trying to knit a hat for my new enyo and somehow i messed up the math when converting from my gauge swatch, it ended up a bit on the big side and mirielle snagged it instead :P now she says she needs a sweater to match!
I am very happy to introduce my new girl with her final look!! I always love the blonde and chestnut Shinku so I thought that a bicolor wig would be great for her ^_^ And thanks to HySℓ i can found the perfect wig for her!!
I called her Cookie because her wig reminds me the Vanilla & Chocolate Cookie: like this and this that i loved to eat when i was child (well now i still love to eat it XDD)
The blouse that she is wearing is made by my mom and her skirt is made by *Dessita*!! (Thank you so much to both!!)

La he llamado Cookie porque su peluca me recuerda las galletas de Vainilla con chocolate como estas y estas que me encantaba comer cuando era pequeña (bueno aun me encanta comerlas XD)

Knit during 2016 Golden Globe Awards ceremony (hence the giant golden pom). Was supposed to be toddler hat but use of super-bulky yarn sized it out as an adult hat. Altered pattern with use of contrasting crochet edge.

More good news: It's not a hurricane, tornado, earthquake, mudslide, flood or wildfire. It's just a Chicago winter.
I do not think there are many knitters in the world who can say that they have knit in a rainforest, much less on the tiny island of Dominica! I could not have asked for a better view; pictured is the larger of the Trafalgar falls (we were told it was the "papa"), and in the foreground is my sunset beret.
The hat uses the Purl Beret pattern, using Gypsy Girl Creations Transitions sock yarn in "Evening Solitude." My ravelry page for the project is here.
Dominica is not the same thing as the Dominican Republic; it is a commonwealth located in the Caribbean Sea between Martinique and Guadeloupe. It was a beautiful island to visit!!
