9/22/08 - While getting my after lunch snack the lunch lady stopped me and asked my name. When I told her, she replied, "Well, Miss Wills, you have the prettiest smile. Everyday you give me that smile and some days... it just makes my day! You're very friendly." It made my day to hear that a smile can have such an effect on someone. I'm glad to be myself today.

So I have a new fav ;) Yes, another dig from earlier in the year that was not edited. I loved his hand position in this shot. I really adore going back and finding these pictures waiting for me. I think I appreciate them much more now than I would at the time, which is an even bigger bonus! Here's the man at nearly 14 mos. Doesn't he look so much younger? As everyone from my early flickr days knows...I was insane for sleeping pictures and it just so happened that he was 10 months old when I got into it. Sorry for the lack of comments this weekend. I was busy working on Christmas cards...Will post that later too.

Some awake shots with the hat :) This little boy loves that blankie..I think that iis one of my fav shots for now..how his hands are pressed up against his little chest. :) Ahhh.

So while my computer is in repair and I can't safely access my hard drives, at least I have a great big backlog of portraits to share from my site. :) I love his plumpness in this--the cheeks and wrist....so soft and sweet! Sidenote : I'm not happy. STILL no word on my computer. It was supposed to be available (at the VERY latest by today). I have work I need to do on some images...and I wanted to get it done before Christmas. Maybe Santa will pass by our house and bring me a new one..... or at least SOMETHING to make me happy.

I'm knitting this for Josh and it should be done by this afternoon.

Evette was on State Street, just south of Randolph. She had a few books in her hand and was quietly leaned up against a wall. She's been homeless for two weeks. Her family is gone (most have passed away) and her grandkids don't want to see her, so she was on the verge of tears the whole time we were with her. "I don't want to be a burden to them", she said. She sleeps on the Red Line and Blue Line trains and needs housing and food. She was the sweetest woman! Truly a loving Grandma (and it felt like it to us!) My kids and I all hugged her multiple times. She is family.
