After obtaining her qualifications of Red Seal Brick & Stone Mason she continued to work amongst highly skilled carvers in the Architectural Natural Stone trade. She has contributed to hundreds of notable buildings and private residences all across North America. Her ultimate goal wanting to apply all her learned skills into creating her art. Unwavering yet emerging into the world of professional artists, she is wanting to share her abstract minimalist forms and figurative works in public.
Artist Statement:
Non- finito in art describes work complete in the creator’s eyes but appears incomplete to its audience. Now- finito is representing a predicament that drew Hart into learning the 15th century Japanese art form ‘kintsugi’. Embraced by the principles of joining with gold- that it can be mended, made stronger and now work has a little ✨.

Ellos creen que cuando algo ha sufrido un daño y tiene una historia, se vuelve más hermoso.
El arte tradicional japonés de la reparación de la cerámica rota con un adhesivo fuerte, rociado, luego, con polvo de oro, se llama Kintsugi.
El resultado es que la cerámica no sólo queda reparada sino que es aún más fuerte que la original. En lugar de tratar de ocultar los defectos y grietas, estos se acentúan y celebran, ya que ahora se han convertido en la parte más fuerte de la pieza.

This is my favorite spot on the Kintsugi sim. Peaceful and i chose to use the colors in my pic to express that harmony. Kintsugi and wabi-sabi are important concepts/feelings to me. Both tell of the imperfection in all of us and accept the beauty/harmony inherent in that imperfection. Fill the cracks with gold. :)

Kintsugi is a series of interconnected mixed media photo books/zines meant to be read together, though in no particular order. The title refers to the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery, where fractures are not concealed but transformed into part of the whole. Similarly, the narrative unfolds in fragments—entries, logs, memos, and notes that, assembled, reveal a larger structure.
The texts document the Habitat and its inhabitants, who, under the supervision of The Vault, tend to the surrounding terrain and to the Shells—enigmatic local forms whose nature remains uncertain. What emerges is a record of observation, repair, and transformation—an act of narrative kintsugi.
Igniting throughout her soul and mind, the fire spread uncontrollably causing her to drop down on one knee, completely out of her control. Screams of pain, loud heartbeat and excruciating accusations all in her own voice full of blame, hatred and distaste.
It was getting harder to lift herself back up. How much she wanted to be able to look at the sky again, follow dreams that were lost behind her and detach herself from being bound by what she shouldn't any longer. Mistakes are redundant and repetitive. Disguised in the form of excuses and self inflicted obligations. For the greater cause? Or just for her own demise? Wilting away countless images until it is left at the foot of being just an 'idea', never a reality.
"Get up!" said a voice. much to her surprise. With barely any strength left, she focused on that voice, the one that seemed to grow louder and louder compared to the rest.
"You came this far, no giving up now.." the voice continued. "This is just the beginning!" it shouted even more in a sheer determined encouragement.
The burning sensation through her self shifted into the air around her that just made her exhale a breath. A sudden drop of water was felt on the back of her neck, followed by more drops as the rain broke whatever the fire was doing inside of her. The smell of fresh soil danced along her senses, the heavy weight slowly lifted from her back.
The shattering of something inside her gave birth to a new horizon, gave reason to move on and it was oddly not that difficult to...spread her wings.
P.S. Kintsugi is going to be closed soon. I'll surely miss this place.

Someone - not saying who - managed to break one of my favourite mugs! Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. I thought I'd give it a whirl....
The truth is, it’s not meant to be clear whether the inhabitants are human, artificial, or something in between—a future form that emerged after singularity, or simply humans on a distant mission, sometime ahead. Their world isn’t necessarily futuristic in the usual sense; rather, it reframes familiar, contemporary conditions through a future lens.

My Kintsugi Christmas gift photographed for Macro Mondays "Redux 2020", picking up the themes - ceramic, shadow, contained, and silver or gold. Hoping and praying for light and healing for 2021!

The beauty of broken things.
Kintsugi transforms shattered pottery into a mosaic of golden seams, where each crack tells a story of resilience, weaving the scars into a tapestry of radiant imperfection.
This was taken at gorgeous Kintsugi; Spirited Beyond "Made with Care"
The whole thing started with making a tattoo that was personal to me, kanji for my birth year with hanging paper cranes. Legend has it if you fold 1000 paper cranes you get your wish. My wish is my own.
I told this story to my lovely friend Dalia who said "this dress was made for you" and sent it to me.

Kintsugi (金継ぎ?, きんつぎ, "golden joinery"), also known as Kintsukuroi (金繕い?, きんつくろい, "golden repair"), is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, a method similar to the maki-e technique. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.

I’m diving deeper and deeper into the surreal, sci fi world. Some of the images and text is done a long time ago. I’m now editing and putting it all together. It is all finally coming together!
