These flakes of dried mud were enormous but crumbled very quickly with human footprints. I was careful to walk behind the area I wanted to photograph to keep this scene as natural as possible for a photograph. Clearly this valley gets quite wet at certain times of the year, as the ´mud´ was quite deep. A truly transitional area.

I love how Daily Mail "ARGH WE'RE DOOMED" readers need to be prompted to keep scrolling (3 times on this article)

The lady on the upper floor is cleaning the staircase. But I think with this kind of ventilation it is hard to keep it clean. Terrible proof of decay.

The WWII Memorial has about a dozen of these signs. They have an elegant design, but they're still stupid. "Please Respect the Memorial; Keep Out of Pool Area." I guess they had to call it a pool "area" because otherwise it sounds like a swimming pool. But this is a design issue that should have been addressed before the memorial was built. I personally like the idea of people wading in pools - even memorials - but if you're against it then build that into your design. Don't build a pool that invites people to dip in and then barricade it with annoying signs!

Picher, Oklahoma.

This house lies at the core of an area completely decimated by a tornado in May, 2008. My visit was humbling, to say the least.

The storm is coming but i don't mind.

People are dying, i close my blinds.

All that i know is i'm breathing now.

I want to change the world...instead i sleep.

I want to believe in more than you and me.

But all that i know is i'm breathing.

All i can do is keep breathing.

All we can do is keep breathing now.

All that i know is i'm breathing.

All i can do is keep breathing.

All we can do is keep breathing now.

All we can do is keep breathing

All we can do is keep breathing

All we can do is keep breathing

All we can do is keep breathing.

All we can do is keep breathing now.

I really liked the sign in front of the missile silo on the previous photo. I don't know exactly what drew me to making this particular shot with the focusing i did, but I'm happy with the results. I hope the noir processing doesn't take away from it. I think it adds, but that's me.

Racó a la punta de Getaria. Euskalherria

Also present as part of a sport's car show during the race day, in the pit

Since 1931, my home town - Vila do Conde - was known throughout the country for being Portugal's Monaco. The reason was that 2 weekends in the year - one in June and one in July - we had races, in a beautiful city circuit. This circuit was called "Princesa do Ave".

The circuit had two versions, the longest was 6km long and the shortest 2,7km.

It had it's most attractive points in turns called "Curva do Castelo", "Curva do Praia Azul", "seca do Bacalhau" and "S" .

These races went on until 2003.

Some refurbishing was done to a big part of the circuit and it was no longer usable as a competition site. The races ended, for the joy of some, for the sadness of many.

In 2010 a group of enthusiasts was able to, with the agreement of the City Hall, have a race day to remember how fantastic this circuit was. Some race drivers showed up, some enthusiasts with classic cars showed up, even an old F1 car was present!

Nature gave us the joy of a hot, sunny day in late May and everything was perfect.

Although it may look like people were in danger, this wasn't actually a race but more like a demonstration. The cars were going "slow".

I thought these photos were lost and while cleaning my computer to format finally found them, 4 years later! Posted them here to keep the memory alive. I hope you enjoy!
