Sorry for my absence. I hadn't been active lately, all these exams are taking away all my spare time..... I hadn't held my camera in maybe a month... well I hope this kind of compensates for my absence

You never know what you might see in my neighborhood. The guys next door have "adopted" another neighbor's chicken and have dubbed her Henrietta. She roosts on the fence every evening. I went inside my house to grab my camera because she had a renegade escapee blue parakeet hanging out with her. I missed the parakeet but caught a cardinal in the background. Henrietta was waiting for the poodles next door to go inside so she could have a poke around the yard.
"Keep Austin Weird" is the unofficial city motto here. We are doing our part in my 'hood :)

The Minolta C.E. Rokkor enlarging lenses come in focal lenghts of 30 mm, 50 mm and 80 mm and could be among the most underrated lenses of all time in my opinion. At least as taking lenses they seem to be easily on par with or even better than most of the high-end series pendants from every well regarded manufacturer.

Fishing in the Keep of Silence

There is a hush now while the hills rise up
and God is going to sleep. He trusts the ship
of Heaven to take over and proceed beautifully
as he lies dreaming in the lap of the world.
He knows the owls will guard the sweetness
of the soul in their massive keep of silence,
looking out with eyes open or closed over
the length of Tomales Bay that the herons
conform to, whitely broad in flight, white
and slim in standing. God, who thinks about
poetry all the time, breathes happily as He
repeats to Himself: there are fish in the net,
lots of fish this time in the net of the heart.

This shot is taken in Hukuru Miskiy (Old Friday Mosque)
"Hukuru Miskiy" in Maldives is the oldest mosque of the country that was established in the year 1956. This old Friday mosque was set up during the reign of Sultan Ibrahim Iskandhar I. Hukuru Miskiy is known for its fine lacquer work and intricate woodcarvings.
Built with coral stones, the interior and exterior walls of the mosque are beautifully carved with Arabic writings and other ornamental designs. Different kinds of woods are used in the making of the doors, window frames and roof of Hukuru Miskiy. If you visit the place, you can also find the various ancient tombstones erected in its compound.
