Really creepy hallway at an abandoned Chicago hospital taken awhile ago. I was supposed to be in the shot but apparently I messed up the timing/exposure...or at least that's what I'm telling myself.

Bamburgh has been a Border stronghold throughout history, so there has been a castle here for hundreds of years. Originally a motte and baily castle, the castle was replaced with stone and the oldest surviving part, the Keep, dates to the C12th.

It was visited by a succession of kings, as well as serving as a prison. Having ceased to be a royal residence, in 1610 James I gave it to Claudius Forster, but he couldn't afford the upkeep, and together with the Civil War destroying parts of the castle, it fell into disrepair.

In 1704 it was bought by Lord Crewe, Bishop of Durham. On his death the Crewe Trust was set up to restore and manage it, and it was used as a library, hospital and school. It was eventually put up for sale again in 1894 and William Armstrong bought it. He was an inventor and engineer and he envisaged it as a home for retired gentlemen. (he also owned Cragside).

Today it is still privately owned by descendants of Armstrong.

I was apparently on camera.

One of the many barns on the Three Springs farm. We've been planning the summer shoot for the past three weeks, with rain every available day. But we scheduled for yesterday and it was perfect. Sunny, warm with a crisp breeze, and everything in full summer swing.

Just playing out an idea for a shot.

I managed to find an old set of unused blinds in my garage for the shot I had in mind.

I ended up clamping the blinds to the cross bar of my b/g stand/support.

A smile is a language everybody understands. It costs nothing but creates much.

It happens fast but its memory may last forever. Keep smiling.

My name is Gina and I am 27 years old.

I so proud to say that I am down 5 dress sizes and lost over 40lbs!!! After putting on a tremendous amount of weight on my small 5'3 frame, I finally got to the point where I had to do something about it.

Like so many people out there I vowed on December 31, 2007 that my New Year’s Resolution for 2008 would be to join a gym, get healthier, and lose weight.

So I joined Lucille Roberts on January 2, 2008 and started my weight loss journey.

I signed up for the gold card and loved the fact that I could go to a Lucille Robert's location near my home (Bay Ridge, Brooklyn) and by my job (Wall Street, NYC). No room for excuses!!!

I enjoyed taking all the different classes (especially the cardio kickboxing), and I looked forward to the pumped-up high energetic instructors!! I was also using the treadmill and elliptical machines to burn mega calories whenever I didn't make the classes.

Lucille Roberts in combination with a healthy diet has allowed me to totally change my lifestyle. I am not on a so-called "diet". I have adapted a new way of eating, thinking and living and I love it!

I enjoy working out and feel so much healthier and confident now that I have lost all this weight.

To anyone one else out there who is down about their weight, or maybe isn't seeing results as quickly as they'd like, just know that "slow and steady always wins the race!"

You can do it!
