Two days later - still didn't manage to clear the way to the back door. The warmth of the sun was beginning to compress the snow.
I was sad to have to clear away these lovely shapes and textures.
March 2017 Snowstorm
~ 26 inches of snow in one day here - up to 3 to 5 feet in other locations of New York State and the Northeast ~
This Great Blue Heron hunkered down in the reeds and brush along the bank of the lake to hide himself and to keep an eye on a potential lunch. Image captured on an overcast and rainy day at Cherokee Park Lake.

Couple seen walking along the beach in perfect time, Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. I wonder what he has spotted in that beach tent? .....
Sign along a sandy trail at Amerson Park leading back to a small pond. I've hiked this trail many times and have seen a few snakes, but as of yet no alligators. I'm sure there are a few back there, so be careful as you walk through tall grass or step over logs. You never know what's under there.

Phil didn't see his shadow and predicted an early Spring. Mother Nature, of course, has her own ideas: 12" - 18" of snow are forecast for tomorrow. Keep dreaming.... :)

Nieuwendijk, Amsterdam. Main shopping street in the centre, the city has been preparing for increased crowds. The hart reeds keep 1.5 meters distance. And then they have 1.5 meters painted in blue lines. The whole length of the street is like that now.
Moel Eilio makes a great viewpoint, to the east, the mighty Snowdon, to the north, Elidir Fawr and the Glyderau, all the more atmospheric with clouds drifting on and off the mountains whilst patches of sunshine dance on the landscape.
A very active geothermal spot and i was very much on my toes to not getting to close but i really wanted a good close up and i guess i just need to find the courages and do it lol but it is very dangerous to walk there because the ground is very unstable and under neath there is boiling hot mud and water and i dont think i would like to get that one me or my gear but ......not far from this place there has been some earthquake activity but it has settled down for now
Some of my contacts have said they like a bit of red in the snow scenes so here is today's obligatory red and white picture!
