Handmade Journal white drawing paper plus scrapbooking paper. Inked Paper Lace Ribboned added as edging to right-hand pages. Journal includes many pockets and tags for journaling. Front Cover has a Vintage Image for a 1950's Greeting Card.
Dec 2007 to the present (perhaps two thirds the way through the journal.)
I finally added the stamps in November of 2008. It took me that long to bond with this journal, really want to make it mine.
This is my second mixed media journal page in my journal "Ode to Birds" I used my drawing of a wild Texas turkey, image transfer, acrylic paints and inks.
When I think of summer rain, I think of this - being from Seattle, this is often our summer skies - gray, cloudy, a patch of blue here or there but usually gray to the mountain tops. A quick watercolor for my journal page....

The first of a Journal Quilting project, part of a class at Valley Fabrics (LFS) that seems to be as much conversation and art class as quilting. Which is good! I don't want a class so much as I want pushing, deadlines and reasonable critiques. The theme for the year is All About Me, for January it is: Where I Am Now.

Each Sunday, I write in my journal the Sunday School lesson title, Bible text and devotional location, Precher text, attendance, weather, notes that happened that week or day and the first Sunday of the month we have business meeting so I record the treasurer numbers.
Had a good time at The Ivy along Heritage Row in KL lunching with my friends from the office. The roast beef that we all had was simply moooooo-ing (delicious)! L to R : Suhaila, Choon Beng, Wee,CK and Farouk (who is also my gym buddy).
messy, but quickly made during ArtFest 2011. I was having too much fun to spend a lot of time on the pages right then!
It's been a very long time since I had a moment to play in my art journal but when I finally did I decided to make my Christmas trees out of tiny pieces of newspaper and wrote down all the words describing December, ending in "ing" It was fun and felt good to get back into it.
Made esp. for the 'collage-a-day' group.
