Friday was chilly and windy, and with a cold coming on, I mostly stayed inside and sketched. My son's girlfriend was with us for Thanksgiving, and I added the two of them into my sketch while we were sitting around discussing deep philosophical questions.
All pencil sketches on Friday. I love drawing and haven't done as much of it since I started doing a lot of watercolor, so I decided to keep this page simple.

Art Izzard, an organizer for Queer Justice League of Atlanta, waves a rainbow flag at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, after a federal judge overturned California's gay-marriage ban. Izzard acknowledged that Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker's ruling is the first of many steps before gay marriage is legalized but said each step is reason to celebrate.
Supporters of gay rights gathered at 10th Street and Piedmont Avenue in midtown Atlanta (next to Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse) to celebrate a federal judge's decision to overturn California's gay-marriage ban, otherwise known as Proposition 8. Supporters acknowledged that many more steps lie ahead before gay couples can marry, but wanted to celebrate this victory publicly.

When a business woman from the United States decided to visit Hyde Park in London for the second time, she did not expect to come in contact with a woman who will leave an emotional imprint in her life. She suspected that the mysterious woman intentionally left a journal for her to discover. Strangely, their brief encounter became a prelude to murders happening in the city of London. Only when she learned of the woman’s death at Trafalgar Square on the news after she left London that she realized she will be part of something big, something that will uncover the dark days of World War II---- the evil acts of the Nazi regime.
