Almost done with my second handwritten journal!

An Art journal page for the Goddess Aphrodite. A project for the Be Divine art class.

Just a composition book journal...but decided to paint and collage the cover...layered gesso, acrylic paints, and various ephemera, some hand painted xstitch canvas pieces, pieces from a sewing pattern, cloth measuring tape and some vinyl screen....*shrugs* Just fun stuff....I also attached a ribbon to tie it shut...

I can't wait to start this! :)

We'll create a fun and intriguing journal that is set apart from all the rest! Please bring small 3D items no larger than 3" tall or wide (smaller is better) that might have a theme such as friends and family or seaside.

The Journal from the second round of "1000 Journals" is displayed on a shelf, built around one of the four-bolt groups in sneaky fashion. The book is about one third full as yet.

We thought it was gone to San Luis Obispo, getting worked on by Camille and Jenn and family. It never left Santa Cruz; was lost for awhile while Kaylah moved.

So, it's back with nothing new in it but a sticker from Coffeetopia with a picture of a Great White Shark and the legend, "Beware of Locals".

Pete's painting, titled, "Show", is on the right edge, here. It is being exhibited for the second time at Coffeetopia: first in his show and now in mine, because we both worked on it:

If you're not from around here, the Monterrey Bay has a trench more than a mile deep with unusually cold water. This is partly why we have Great White Sharks here. Another reason is we also have Elephant Seals.
