The plain black journal that I have been using for the Embodiment project

every tour needs a journal.

When we go explore other cities we tend to stay away from touristy spots and love seeing the city through a residents' eyes. There are a few touristy things (ferris wheel!), but I bet that no tourist has ever been to Galanga Thai Fusion, which is probably the best cheap food EVER. nom nom nom

Text: "Southern lives tell another story. It was the expansion of the cotton trade that supported the established of dedicated year-round potteries in South Carolina....great clay, alkaline glaze, and forced labor of enslaved peoples came together in production...one enslaved potter made his existence known through the crafting of a frame cup, recording the influence of African culture in Southern art."
