My art journal is fast becoming a spiritual journal as well. Seems God directs me to messages He wants me to remember. I find this is is a good way of record them.

For this page I decided to use some of those lovely Mulberry papers. I can't seem to find them anymore. I don't know where I can purchase them now but they seemed to be just what I needed for this particular journal.
Once done with decorating the background I decided to use a colorful piece of paper and snip off the ends (which if you look you'll notice are at the edges of the main page). Then I added the above phrase.
At the time I was having difficulty with my creative muse and this seemed to work as one of the ways to break through that.

I'm repurposing paper from my job - wasted paper from seps - most pages are blank but some may have a few crop marks or miscellaneous markings (nothing obtrusive). in addition I have added a few sheets of graph paper and a 2010 calendar at the back.
Got carried away with a gear stamp that I made, then couldn't come with anything else to do. So found the pic of steampunk man and added the quote.

This is the first of seven Arts and Crafts Kid Camps through Sandpoint Arts Alliance this summer. I thought I was a fan of duct-tape, but the kiddos proved to me they are much bigger fans. Although painting, finger painting, paper for the covers was quite fun too, I'm just glad the duct-tape didn't come out until the third day. We wrote and shared prompt ideas on a page for those days when it's hard to rally up an idea. I had plenty of fun - by the looks of the kiddos I'm guessing they did too.

I'm taking an Art Journal Class this fall. Our first assignment was to decorate the cover. I increased the contrast on this photo. I regret doing that, as I've come to appreciate the cover's soft contrast.
