For both young and old alike.

Channeling my inner-Pisces.

I managed to finish my most recent sketch tonight. TAA DAAA! :)

I made banana chocolate chip muffins for tomorrow's Stitch 'n Bitch at Natalie's place. And yes, I have used this recipe A LOT! It really is a great old stand by! :)

From last night .... and yes, those are reading glasses with a wee black and pink animal print along the side. I actually bought them for doing jewellery work ... my eyesight according the opthamologist I saw last month is great otherwise so she said to get some basic reading glasses for the close up stuff.

Thank you to Greggie for the suggestion of Honest Ed's for reading glasses. I found a couple of funky pairs there for really cheap! :)

And as for this book, I've had it for ages - it's a series of fun short stories and I pick it up and reread it now and again. My favourite is "The Growling" by Jody Lynn Nye.

Oh Cod, how I love getting postcards! :)

Kind of funny considering the jacket repair I posted last night. :)

Well, admittedly tonight was not the most stellar game we've played together for the season and we lost the tie breaker for the semi-finals this evening. Yup, it sucks but honestly I wouldn't have played the season with any other team.

They're a damned awesome group of folks and welcomed me with open arms right from the get-go. And that's even with some of the folks knowing me from previous seasons when I played on another team in this league and was "the enemy". ;p

I'm really looking forward to playing with them in future games for hopefully many seasons to come.

I can't thank them enough for making me part of their team.

Yaaaaaaaaarrrrrr me mateys - swab the deck! ;) oxo

P.S. Also a big thank you to Michael who came out last night to cheerlead and photograph myself and my faboo team in action!

A very nice (and *huge* partly eaten cone - and this is a single!!) post-photo walk made the crazy ass heat today much better!

Thank you to Shirley and her hubby for showing me this little treasure at Danforth and Kelvin Avenue. YUM!

I missed checking my mail yesterday and then found this in my mailbox from my cousin. It's a photo of my mother (on the left) and my Aunt Terry on my mother's wedding day.

My mother married to my sister's father and divorced him well before I was a sparkle in anyone's eye. So I've never seen any photos of the event until now.

I quite like the simple details of my mother's wedding dress. I rarely saw her dress up later in life so this is a treat to see! Thank you Rosanna! ox

Very cute to see the neighbour's cat playing weather-kitty.

Let your creativity and imagination take you far.

Sometimes if you look beyond the obvious, you can see some wonderful beauty around you.

Holy lateness Batman!

I missed yesterday's 365 shot ... crazy day at work, errands to run and just darned tired and unfortunately uninspired.

But caught up now - another one to post after yoga class. Hope everyone had a great day!

Pretty winter sky on the way to work today.

I saw this mural from the streetcar on my commute to work along Bathurst last week and really wanted to go back to shoot it.

I was very happy to go back today and see the artist working on it. Lots of great details here! I really love how Toronto has so many talented graffiti/mural artists.

A nice walk after work makes me feel sooooo much better!

And it gave me a smile on the way to work this morning. :)

A carved door inside of #Albertine on 5th Avenue.

.... so my team and I can kick some semi-finals ass! ;p

It was quite the game tonight and it was do or die after losing the first game in the best two out of three last Wednesday.

We had some not so stellar moments here and there with throwing the ball away but managed to pull it together and kept chipping at the other team to finally come out on top in the final inning and win by one run! Whew!

I went four for four tonight at bat with three singles and a well timed walk to first. I had to haul some major ass from first all the way to home when one of my teammates hit two homeruns tonight - including the one that won us the game. Holy hell, he's fast and was right on my tail pretty much all around the bags. :p

I helped with the defense too, including catching a fly ball in the outfield. :)

Hooray for my team! Next game Wednesday - hope we can kick ass again and proceed to the finals!

From yesterday morning ... so nice to have blue skies after a couple of grey days. I had a nice day yesterday - nice blue skies, I was on the late shift so I met up with a friend in the morning to chat before heading to the office, the work day thankfully wasn't too hectic and last night at Choir was fun. :)

Unfortunately it's grey again today. :p C'mooooooon sun!!

Hard to get photos outside when it's -32C with the windchill and it's dark when I leave the house and dark after work. :p And there's only so many tea and food shots I like to post.

I hope everyone had a good night's sleep last night and slept sweet dreams and are ready to take on the day!

Happy Hump Day!

I had to make a pit stop in Kensington at the Market Bakery for one of their chocolate chip cookies to go with my tea tonight.

I saw this fellow across the street waving so I went over to say hi!

Taken on my way to Choir in a Bar. I haven't gone in about two months since the Wednesdays conflicting with the schedule for my slo-pitch league.

I really missed it and last night was a heck of a lot of fun! We did two Phil Collins songs and then they had a bit of open mic and a few people got up and led the group in song. Looking forward to going again more regularly in the near future.

Ain't he soooooo sweet? He was quite happy with the ear rub I gave him.

You'll have to excuse the composition a bit. I had just come from the ophthalmologist and she had put drops in my eyes that caused them to dilate and I couldn't focus on anything closer than about four feet away so I couldn't see the danged display screen on my camera when I took the shot and definitely not afterwards either. And it was soooo bright out too. Ugh!

But good thing is that my eyes are healthy! :)

It's the little things (well this is not such a 'little thing') like camping with the family that make me happy. 17/52

A couple of days camping along the Wingecarribee River at the Berrima Riverside Campgrounds, Berrima NSW.

I seem to be a magnet for these beautiful bathroom messages. How perfect! :)

It's the Little Things 2.0 #112

And a fun time was had by all!

My grrl Shelna took me out for some shopping fun and lunch today - we really need to do this again sometime soon since it was so much fun!

Thanks so much my dear! ox

I found this roll of half shot film at the last photography show I went to. I spotted the container on the left in the box of random rolls and the masking tape on it caught my eye. When I read "Start @ 18 Mexico 18", I thought "Jackpot!" and couldn't wait to shoot it and find out what was on the first half.

I shot the second half at the TOPW Flickr 10 year anniversity walk.

This is a my favourite shot from the wall ... how fabulous is this street candid?? I would love to know about this woman and her stories. And oh how I want one of those dolls!

More to come! :D

Missing from the previous loot shot - thanks Kat!

And wearing a suitably appropriate t-shirt for Pink Shirt Day to take my stance against bullying.

Nothing like coming home after a crazy day at work to find a bit of sunshine in amongst the flyers and bills.

A mega-big thanks to my grrl Tricia for succeeding in her to do list! oxo

Well, my very pretty unicorn pony courtesy of my wonderful friend Jerome! He actually bought a horse kit then proceeded to sand, paint, customize and even fashioned the horn and everything!

It's magically faaaaabulous!! Thank you soooo much! Happy birthday to me indeed! :D Huuuuuugs!

And if you're curious, here's the whole creation process here on Jerome's stream:

I know it's blurry but it was getting down to the nitty gritty and the lightning round of this super geeky, name the airplane silhouette, let's get ready to rumblllllllle show down between aerial afficinados Jerome and Adam! Adam won by just a few guesses.

Lots of fun and laughs at last night's TO Flickr meet up! Good to see everyone as always. :)

It's the Little Things 2.0 #126

Than we were seeing on Tecumseth Street for a couple weeks there ....

It's the Little Things #64

After most of last week and Saturday being full of grey skies and rain, it's been nice to have a few days of sunshine and skies like this. :)

It's the Little Things 2.0 #341

And another creation for some lucky wee girl that I'll get to meet on the weekend. Hopes she likes her! :)

It's the Little Things 2.0 #92

And a gardener too it would seem ...

Just made me smile on the way home after work.

It's the Little Things 2.0 #146

It's been a loooooong time since I've posted up a sketch. I was well overdue for laying pencils to paper.

I blame my cousin and aunt for the inspiration.

Does dragging your butt to work on 3.5hrs sleep and managing to function reasonably well count? And then come home to make homemade lentil soup??

Maybe.

I'll try to do better tomorrow on a full night's sleep.

It's the Little Things 2.0 #314

I got this perfectly time card in the mail yesterday from my fabulous grrl Kat! I could have used a pirate ship last night to get home after work with all the rain we had!

Thanks matey - I love it!

It's the Little Things 2.0 #40

I know my friends help give me strength and I'm lucky to have quite a number of them.

Thank you all! ox
