Pride week is just around the corner from June 21st until the 30th. It's the most wonderfully rainbowy time of the year!

I didn't make it to today's photo walk. I got an invitation to meet in the morning with a friend I haven't seen in almost a month to come over for brunch. It was wonderful to get caught up with him and just relax together over a nice but simple home cooked meal.

I was then going to join the photo walk afterwards but then I received a text from my grrl Sally asking if I wanted to meet for coffee. So we met for coffee, went to a used bookstore (I bought two books), we wandered around her 'hood and ended up back at her place. We had strawberry dacquiri slushies - YUM!!! - while we sat on her cozy front porch.

Then we went off to dinner for sushi. All in all, a fabulous day! Thank you friends! oxo

I had a fabulous time last night at the Toronto Photo Walks Exhibition. So many folks came out to support us - it was wonderful!

It was a long and at times tiring process to get to where we did but it was so worth it.

Thank you for all your support along the way my friends. Much love!

Swab the deck my dears! ;)

Andrew there in the background found this wee little blue duckie sitting on the ground during his travels through Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

What great duckie karma ... just like me finding Dirk on the ground during one of our photo walks oh so long ago.

Thank you Andrew! :)

Lovely tribute to someone who was obviously loved.

Yes you are my friends! :)

I *finally* got around to spending my gift certificate that my fabulous grrl Heather gave me for my birthday - I know, slow or what eh?? I would either not have the certificate with me when I went into the store or I wasn't sure what to buy. But hey, I think I made some nice selections. :)

Thank you again my dear! oxoxo

I met up with Michael this morning and we rode out to Humber Bay and back. And then off for a walk and breakfast. Nice morning start - thanks for coming out! :)

And now they're baaaaaaack!!

We had a great camping weekend at Awenda! Fun times, good weather and great company. :D

A big kudos to Andrew for arranging this weekend - he is the Camping King! *applause!*

I hope everyone got home safe and had as much fun as I did. More photos to come. Rest well folks!

I got out today for a mini-photo walk and our 4th anniversary party with some of my fellow photographers. It was really great to see everyone and get to be social and chat with each other - like these two cuties here.

I'm very thankful for the friendships that I've made through this group. I'm looking forward to another 4 years together at least!

As Brian said, seems the magnolias aren't impressed about the grey, soggy weather either. But I still like that they're starting to make an appearance - whoo hoo! :)

Choir! Choir! Choir! had its holiday party last night. A couple of comedians, some karaoke and then dancing our butts off. I left just before 2am and the party was still going strong!

Next Wednesday is our last Choir meet up until the New Year. I think I'm gonna have withdrawal!!

Last night I celebrated my friend Jason's 40th birthday. Now how awesome is this birthday cake? An awesome cake for an awesome guy! And he made a CD for everyone of the most popular songs of 1972 - listening to it now. Tres cool gift from the birthday boy. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!

Whoo hoooo! My Thanksgiving started early with a bunch of postcards from three faaabulous ladies! Thank you Joann, Kat and Janet for keeping the Pony busy for little ole me! I definitely needed this after 45 minutes of unexpected and very frustrating overtime tonight. Ugh!

But these put a big smile of my face! Thank you so much ladies! oxoxo

... free cupcakes!!!

Seriously. After my hair cut, I went down graffiti alley to hunt this new piece I saw last night when I didn't have my Pentax with me. As I was finishing taking shots, the back door opens from one of the Queen street shops and a guy comes out. We chat for a little while and as we go to bid each other good night, he asks me if I like cupcakes. "Um yes!" (who the hell doesn't?!) And then he hands me a bag with two little cupcakes in it.

His name is Virg (like Virgil I think) and he works at Dlish Cupcakes on Queen! Whoo hooo! The one on the left is a vanilla cupcake and the one with the sprinkles is chocolate. Both were quite yummy but I liked the chocolate one much more. NOM NOM NOM!

I love Yay!!'s comment here:

I know it's blurry but really, how could I not resist posting this?? And it was taken on a moving streetcar. I only got one shot at it before my stop coming back from Choir last night. I was tired and somehow I managed to miss it as I got on the car with the other riders. :p

But don't play in traffic kiddies!

Whoo hooo! How lucky am I? I got some very yummy boozy Purdy's chocolates from my friend Michael and a cute personalized semi-Valentine's card from Greggie (on the front of the card it says "I don't believe in Valentine's Day but ....").

Thank you both so much! ox

I had a wonderful afternoon Saturday with my friend Ariel. Can't wait to do it again!

Headed off to Burlington for an orchid show and a wander about in the snow with my friend Jerome.

Great day out and I brought home another new friend from the show. Oopsie.

But time with friends is often joyful and good for your soul.

I've actually been thinking about doing another 365 with this theme for over a month so here we go again. Who can't use a bit of positive daily outlook?

Wonderful dreams and much love to you all.

I made some muffins for a potluck at work tomorrow but this one was from the leftovers in the bottom of the mixing bowl so it's not as pretty as the others and had less chocolate chips, so I just had to put it out of its misery. Darn eh?

Choir took part in the David Suzuki Foundation Park Crawl. Along the way, we came across young Maggie here and were informed it was her birthday and the group burst into a lovely round of "Happy Birthday" for her. :)

Projects of monsterous proportions (and body parts) are coming together ... just over a week until the Bring on Spring! arts and crafts fair in Woodbridge!

Spotted in the Kensington Market area on Baldwin - my favourite god among the HIndu deities.

Strength and compassion .... with a love of food that makes him human too. Though he seems to be on a bit of diet here.

I've had a lovely birthday today with my grrls Shelna and Olive.

Shelna took me fabric shopping (Danger, danger Will Robinson!!) and then to lunch and then Olive took me yarn shopping (More danger, danger Will Robinson!!!) and for coffee at Moonbean. Wonderful company and craftiness ... just like I love!

Photos of my haul of the day to follow a little later. :)

Thank you sooo much ladies for making me day fun and cheery! oxoxo

Had a wonderful time at Andrew's 65th birthday party. A sweet shot of him and his daughter sharing a hug. I didn't want to ask them move into better light and disturb the moment but I still like this one.

Many marvellous more my dear! ox

Hanging out with my friend Jerome in Kensington Market and having some silly fun with reflections.

And me too of course!

We hope that your season is merry and bright! ox

So - first game of the slo-pitch season and the skies got pretty crazy at one point. Funnily, this was not the series of clouds that rained on us .... or poured on us at the end of the game. But boy are they ever picturesque!

So ended up soggy but it was so great to see everyone again and we won the game with a score of 9 to 5! :) Hope to do it again next week ... but with less rain. :p

It's the Little Things 2.0 #348

... if you need it.

A few friends are going through rough times and even though they're out of arms' reach, that doesn't mean I can't try to send a hug other ways.

Much love my friends!

It's the Little Things #363

Yeah, my mug again .... but it felt so good to go to yoga class tonight for the first time in three weeks since I got sick! My arms will be sore tomorrow probably from the routine we did but it will be a good sore. :)

Choir! Choir! Choir! met up tonight at Ricky Ricardos on College to do a rehearsal with Divine Brown, Cold Specks and Carvin Winans for tomorrow's Cavalcade of Lights at Nathan Phillips Square.

It was a fun practice and it's promising to be a wonderful holiday event - can't wait!

My finale shot for my 365 project! Thank you so very much my friends for all the support, great comments and faves along the way. It's been tricky keeping up sometimes this time around. I think that it will be awhile before I do another 365 but having three under my belt is still a good accomplishment. I have an idea for another project that can be done at a more leisurely rate .... to be revealed.

I might not know the future but I know that I hope to share many more photos, laughs and cheerleading with you all. I definitely have faith that will happen.

And yet another confirmation about true beauty.

I like how the poster on the side said "Feel is Good" ... to me it kind of goes with the other message here.

It's the Little Things #113

Met up with my friend Jerome tonight for dinner and ice cream from Boreal Gelato Company on Queen West. Sorry it's slightly blurry, I rushed the shot a bit. Can't have the ice cream melting ya know!

Mill Street Tankhouse ice cream on the right and salted caramel with a scoop underneath for Vanilla Earl Grey on the left. Yum yum!

But a good one. I took a different route today for my morning ride since the Indy is going on this weekend.

I rode up Route #45 North for quite awhile and then when I got to the spot along the path around Eglinton and Don Mills Road (near the Science Center), I decided it was time for an about face and back home. Sooooo sweaty today. :p

Hope you're enjoying your day folks!

I spent a few days at the trailer/lake with my cousin and aunt. Nice and relaxing and great to get caught up with everyone. We had a big group come to visit for the day on the Saturday as well. :)

It wasn't warm outside though but it was still a nice walk home after work today.
