It sometimes pays off to take a different way home. Every Sunday morning I help my husband set up for his course. This mourning I decided to take a back road home as the sun began to rise I am happy I did
It's said music can be your therapy. This couldn't be more true right now. Whenever I'm going through life's hiccups, I have two things i can always count on....music and my family.
On Deck Sessions with Bully Trisk last night did just that. DJ Dolly, DJ Angel, DJ Spot and DJ Bully created two hours of a journey last night that spoke to my soul. Thank you to each one of Y/you for pouring out a bit of Y/yourselves in the music that was shared.
What a way to celebrate 20 On Deck Sesssions!!! If you haven't ever tuned in, make sure to. On Deck Sessions airs on BRM Radio every Thursday from 6-8PM SLT at www.bullringfamily.com

In Greek mythology, Cassandra was the daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy. Her beauty caused Apollo to grant her the gift of prophecy. However, when she did not return his love, Apollo placed a curse on her so that no one would ever believe her predictions.

“In this quiet corner, the best wild flowers grow, and the first peepers are heard in the spring, even before the snow melts. Here, owls call from the treetops in the early morning, and the irreverent crows hold their noisy conventions. Here, the mother deer has her fawn, and the migrating geese come to rest. It is here that the fox is safe from the hunters.”

It's always fascinated me that we can sometimes see the moon during the day. It seemed particularly bright yesterday and deep blue sky and soft clouds provided an ideal photo opp. :-)

Jal Mahal (meaning "Water Palace") is a palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, India. The palace and the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber
In the past, at the location of the lake, there was a natural depression where water used to accumulate. During 1596 AD, when there was a severe famine in this region there was consequent acute shortage of water. The then ruler of Ajmer was, therefore, motivated to build a dam to store water to overcome the severe hardships caused by the famine to the people inhabiting the region. A dam was constructed, initially using earth and quartzite, across the eastern valley between Amer hills and Amagarh hills. The dam was later converted into a stone masonry structure in the 17th century. The dam, as existing now (see picture), is about 300 metres (980 ft) long and 28.5–34.5 metres (94–113 ft) in width. It is provided with three sluice gates for release of water for irrigation of agricultural land in the down stream area. Since then, the dam, the lake and the palace in its midst have undergone several rounds of restoration under various rulers of Rajasthan but the final restoration in the 18th century is credited to Jai Singh II of Amer. During this period, a number of other historical and religious places, such as the Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Khilangarh Fort, Kanak Vrindavan Valley were also built in the vicinity of the lake. All these places are now linked under a tourist corridor of road net work.

Bowfell (named Bow Fell on Ordnance Survey maps) is a pyramid-shaped mountain lying at the heart of the English Lake District, in the Southern Fells area. It is the sixth highest mountain in the lakes and one of the most popular of the Lake District fells. It is listed in Alfred Wainwright's 'best half dozen' Lake District fells. Tim mcgraw
. . . Slough Branch, Grand Union Canal, Slough, England. I rode my bicycle past this spot several times on my way to Windsor when I lived and worked for a short time in Uxbridge. The canal here was always teeming with fishermen on one side and narrowboats on the other. It's a refuge below the street level of the city and its traffic.
It is not hard to image this turtle in Prehistoric days. Image how the hundred pound ancestor would look! Check out those massive digging claws.
It is strongly associated with wetland areas, especially those rich in common reed (Phragmites australis). It can also be met with in a variety of other open habitats, such as farmland and grassland, particularly where these border marshland.
Where, where is the town
Now, it's nothing but flowers
The highways and cars
Were sacrificed for agriculture
I thought that we'd start over
But I guess I was wrong
Some unknown Cream City citizen stuck a fake flower in the fencing enclosing the pedestrian stairs from Greves Street to the tall 27th Street Viaduct, and I thought it made for a nice impromptu photo prop, symbolism implied or not. It's been over two weeks since I shot or edited an image. (I'm focused on redoing my website and just haven't had time). Took Miss Viv out on Saturday to fix that. She is a great little actor and will work hard for KinderJoy. ❤
Edited with new products that will be released as soon as they've been perfected

went searching for the jays today and found all three, this was my first day to go looking for them, it was not the best day but had to make do with the light that was available.....blue jay. So cute to see them search knowing where they have stored their food
Loved that small mound with a tree upon the crest jutting out of the main island, which is important turtle nesting point in Andaman islands...taken at Kalipur beach near Diglipur, North Andman.
It’s not that unusual that I’m having a hard time deciding where to go shoot. More often than what I love to admit I choose the location at last minute and this is exactly what happened last Friday. Unfortunately this time I was a bit too late, so when the sky was burning I was still driving. As soon as the light show ended I reached the location and waited until I got this frame. I definitely need to get better at planning.
